That's pretty typical for an unrestored car. It needs a new exhaust system, certainly the rear at a minimum. I'd say it's been repainted as the body along the sills has no black lip. But if it's not in good running order then who knows. Interior looks OK. Possibly it could become a very decent driver?

Although it would warm all our hearts to see an Espada receive a high bid of 100 Euros as noted here i doubt that will happen really so why bother printing it at all ... sheesh

The Espada getting checked out at American Honda Motor Corp.'s tech training center. The car set off the building's carbon monoxide alarms, which the manager told me have never been set off in the seven years he's worked there. Another first for the Lamborghini Espada!

So they just want to see the grand father of the "car with rear vertical glass" which they have "adopted" on so many of their vehicles?

Four Espadas at the Trump today, a really strong turnout. The one on the right is "Mad Max," which has a 5000 QV engine. There were some clearance issues, obviously...

    Hi Everyone,

On my way to the San Diego car show “Bella Italia at the Bay”, I met up with Aaron Robinson at Cars and Coffee. It's located in Irvine at the Mazda Corporate parking lot. I couldn't stay very long. We drew a crowd…more so than the Ferraris next to us.

Anyone know what this knob in the dooropening of a Series1 Espada is? It is located beside the front seat. It has the markings A and C on each side of the notch. About 4 cm in dia.

On a S1 the AC coolers are located in the side or the REAR seats, if I remember right these ones determine if the cold air should go to the small vents at the top of the car, or also going out down forward. Not sure if they also at the same time control the warm air. I have also seen S1's with out them , not sure if they all orginally had them.

That is a rocker flapper valve control. The S1 has evaporators in the quarter panels. You have A/C air in the rocker panel. You can run A/C air from the back of the rocker to the front kick panel outlet.

I don't understand the bonnet clearance issue. I thought a 5000 QV was still side draught carb'ed? ... if not why not convert the engine to such a spec.

    The result is scary!

Okay I was wrong. I would have converted it to side draughts myself ... or fuel injection. Yes you would have needed a bonnet bump still but not such a large one.

Actually I would have just restored the original engine ...

    Isn't that Jack's old S1, after a heavy "tune-up" ?

I hope they kept all the old stuff? It might be worth converting it back one day ...

As much as I love the conversion, I can not get by that hood.
There are many other ways to shape a hood scoop and that's a bad one.

My step father stuff a Toyota engine in a Spitfire. The first hood looked like that. The 2nd is waaay cooler and looks correct. Will post picture.
