Sure? Leaving the side skirts alone? Wow! I'm glad to hear that as I initially started off with grey roof as my main concept. It became black due to overwhelming response from FChat and other forums and my mates.

Good stuff. So, leave the skirts untouched?

Leave it as is. It looks stunning! I know the itchy fingers are there to do more work, but trust me man, leave it as is. If you're hell bent on doing anything, a black roof and that's it (but even then, to look at its best, it may need black wheels)

Black wheels on Black or Red just doesn't go. Yes leave the sills alone, just do the roof in grey matching the stripes

    No bueno.

Grey roof or left alone is good.

    Love the gold wheels.

I would leave it alone personally. Introducing styling elements that were never on the original design always looks a tad odd IMO. The car looks great as it is and it's a fine line between perfect and that one step too far :)

Thanks John for the images. I saw my mate's 458 with the entire skirts wrapped in carbon vinyl and it looked fantastic. Not really over the top but then again he had those dark metal star spoke rims which matched the concept perfectly. With gold rims it might be a tad bit mismatched, I guess....

After all that I have heard, I believe this is the most popular setup? Not that I'd do it....love my gold wheels to death. Call me a ricer...its fine. LOL...Ricer...haven't used that term in years.

with the black areas it missed the scud style in my eyes and the top have too much "spider roof look"...

Thats what I thought too. It's kinda transforms the project car into some obscure model. Like what some of the others have said, too much and it ruins the entire thing. Then again, thats customisation. It's about personalising your work. Some will love it, others hate it. It was fun and harmless though working with photoshop. Helps me reach a theme that is "socially acceptable".

Need to spend more time and think through carefully.

    That's ok. No worries.

That's a Scud replica bumper? Why would you choose a replica? I'm sorry, but I always have a thing for replica. Past experience haunts. But as you mentioned the quality is good, I'll check them out.

Yes, replicas normally suck. My previous 430 challenge grille lower bumper was sourced from a replica company whom produced it completely in carbon. That's the only reason why I took the risk of replicas. The rear bumper weighs slightly heavier than my fully loaded laptop. Thats how light it is. So to me that was good enough justification to take the risk. Fitment was a little tricky for my previous kit. For my final Scuderia conversion, I tried another replica company and it turned out to be perfect. Superb quality, fitment required no magic dust and the finish was top notch. Paint shop had no complaints whatsoever.

Check out StoneCarbon. These guys are good. Look for Carl.

Christian, you're not smoking w**d are you? You serious about what you've just said?

It's quite off the scales for me. I don't know what to think of that theme.Grey stripes on the bonnet joined to red stripes on the roof then grey stripes on the engine bonnet tail...I get it....the colors swap on the roof?

    i´m a non smoker! :D

In my eyes the stripes on the front and rear lid needs the stripe on the roof!

Otherwise it looks always the roof is not finish yet.

Perhaps on the photoshop pic it looks a little bit too "coloured" but
in real life it should work!
