Are you looking for 1/32 or 1/24 in plastic?

+1 to the Tamiya, great detail and fit IMO that goes for all the available scales in the Tamiya range.

The Airfix 1/24 Mustang kit is not very good. Very crude and not well presented for a large scale kit. The Trumpeter and Tamiya kits are much better.

Thankyou one and all,I think the Trumpeter 1/24 look ideal as the selection for future making is huge.
The Tamiya models look great also but lack numbers in build of other WW2 fighters.
I've got a soft spot for the P51,as my godfather was killed in one in the late 60s at an airshow in Bendigo Victoria Australia,ex CAF built P51.

re the Trumpeter kits the 1/32 scale WW2 planes have more parts then the 1/24 scale, which i find appealing.
Any idea how many parts in the Tamiya 1/32 kits? as there site makes no mention.
Looking at the Merlin/Packard in the Tamiya kit,to me it looks of a better build quality then the Trumpeter kit.
