Sorry but that statement makes no sense whatsoever in this case! Schumacher and Kimi are no longer Ferrari drivers, both are driving for rival teams with the intention of beating Ferrari if possible and that means neither will get any support from Me so long as there is a Ferrari still running in the race! Drivers come and drivers go - But Ferrari are forever!
I respect your right to feel that way, but not everybody feels the same. In most years it takes a good car and a good driver to win a championship and Michael's contribution to the lore of Ferrari will never be forgotten and neither will he. Kimi's contribution is not so great, but as of this time he is the only driver to win for Ferrari since Michael left. And despite Kimi's lifestyle issues, he has an individuality that many Ferrari drivers of the past were known for. Some like it, some don't.
The "fixed" fixation has become quite tiresome and has been for sometime and imho it is rather disrespectfull.
I'm not saying that Schumacher and Kimi's achievements should be forgotten, they never will be and I'm entirely grateful for what they did for the Scuderia. But that was then and this is now! Today they both work against Ferrari. Their sole aim is to win (or do well at least), for their new teams (and therefore beat Ferrari). Neither driver will do all they can to assist Ferrari to win or do well. Neither driver is a Ferrari driver - they are both ex - Ferrari drivers. These days their loyalties lie elsewhere, not with the Scuderia. Today, for the Tifosi, the only two drivers who matter in F1 are Alonso and Massa, because they work for Ferrari, not against them!* (* Cue the arguments that Massa isn't really working for Ferrari! )
This topic has run it's course and should be taken behind the shed, there will be lead but no more misery.
Okay, here's how it works: 1) Alonso works for Ferrari 2) Massa works for Ferrari 3) Ferrari work for Alonso 4) Massa works for Alonso Hopefully that's cleared things up
At times he's a piece of something! (But so long as he drives for the Scuderia, he gets my full support) No, you take the credit for this one. For decades now the Tifosi have only supported those driving for the Scuderia and looked down upon those who dared to race against them.
Dingdingding! We have a winner. It paid off to go against the stream. Congrats to the other 52. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well... obviously, I didn't see that one coming! I'm still in good company with the other losers on the poll. Congratulations to those who had it picked. All the best, Andrew.
