Yup. Will do, buddy. How long did it take for the guys to ship to you the bumper? I referred to your contacts, Stone Carbon seems to be based in Hong Kong. Also, is the reallocating of the exhaust tip tricky? I seen a couple of F430 who changed to to a full Scud kit like yours. But the exhaust tip work is REAL bad. The refitting etc. Almost reminds me of those ricer cars.

You have a PM too, buddy.

Shipping was very fast and economical. From the date the shipment left the factory, it arrived within 2 days. By air and costs peanuts. From the date you make payment, they will take 3-4 weeks, sometimes faster if you negotiate with them on this. StoneCarbon's office is based in HK but Carl's mostly in China where their factory is. Their craftsmanship is seriously no bullsh*t. It's good. If you plan on leaving the parts exposed in carbon, make a note to them that you will only accept the goods if they make sure the weaving is perfect as it will be left as is on the final project.

No worries about the exhaust. Pick up a decent conversion kit from Capristo...the complete Scuderia Capristo exhaust which comes with headers and sports cats with their complete system muffler (which is different in structure and design as the twin sound Scuderia which IMO is more restrictive). Alternatively, you can just purchase the Scuderia Capristo exhaust mounts and choose your own muffler from brands such as Kreisseg, Tubi Inconel, Fabspeed, LOC, Larini etc. But do take note that some Scuderia aftermarket mufflers have inlet pipes that are either of a larger diamter or sit higher than your regular 430 exhaust muffler so your cats will not be able to connect. That was the reason why I went with the Capristo Complete Scuderia solution. The cat pipes are of a larger diamter and is angled upwards to meet the muffler.

It's really not that completed. Apologies if I made it sound that way. Just remember to clarify whichever brand you decide to go with whats your base model, what exhaust system you wish for their parts to work with and they'll be able to advise accurately (I hope).

With the Capristo, you can purchase the additional end pipes (i.e. tips). All the installer needs to do is to use the tool provided by Capristo to cut two large diamter holes in your rear reinforcement bar for the tips to stick out. Everything else is straight forward. No RICER-type installations here.

Likewise buddy. I'm a non smoker too which was why I could see clearly and was completely shocked by your suggestion.

I'm still shaking from the shock. It might make sense after the theme settles. Let me see if I can get a top down view of this theme.

OK Guys, before you fall off your seat laughing yourself into a cramp, let me first say this image was taken off Google Imagesearch and its one of a F430 toy model car. I couldn't find any image of a top down view so this was basically it.

What do you guys think of Christian's suggested theme? I retained the black lines on the roof to create continuity of flow from the bonnet to the engine lid.

First let me say I love this thread......FWIW, heres my vote....I really like the black on the sill but only partially...its just enough black down there with black wheels....I think a scud spec'd just like this 16M but with a gray stripe would look great.....so continue the gray stripe over the black roof.

OK Wait...I'm confused now. So now I need to paint my wheels dark metal...wrap the skirts ala MaCarbon style...then the roof...what's that again? Grey stripes across roof but leave the roof black?

grey roof and red stripes, still 2 colours, but red with grey stipes and a back roof with grey stripe, are 3 colours and that will be very colorful in my eyes.

Yes, that infamous system that blows blue flames. To set the record straight, its not the exhaust that glows bright orange...its in reality the honeycomb structure in the sports cats that glows red hot after a couple of hot laps. It's quite a sight. I love it. I had test pipes before with headers and a twinsound muffler, the exhaust note was absolutely fantastic...banshee sharp pitched, cracks and pops upon downshift, blipping was a dream....but the absolute lack of backpressure meant at low rpm the car handled like a dog.

But now with the Capristo complete Scuderia system, the added backpressure gave me heaps of torque at low rpms. The car handles so much better. So much more responsive despite a significant drop in ear candy. The gain in performance is definite a worthwhile trade off for the reduce in aural enjoyment...not that there's something to complain about the new exhaust note.

Capristo should pay me to write these reviews...

Christian, you know the grey stripes on the bonnet and engine lid have a black outline? So when I grey the entire roof and swap the stripe colour to the body color, do I still keep the black outline on the roof just for continuity sake?

JWD from FLife posted progress pix of his 430 coupe going through a similar project. Thank god for him sharing his pix. I'm pretty much sold on the roof wrap. He added a nice black line to seperate the silver from the red body. Nice touch.

So Christian was right! I'm sure it'll look good in real life if it's going to turn out 75% as well as JWD's car. Thanks guys!

Now all I need is to stop buying parts for the tech to install and get the car back on the road asap so I can get the roof liner fitted, and the roof wrapped!!!!

    I'm excited!!!!

This looks incredible. I agree that the factory CF sills just don't look right.

The factory full cf sill has its own appeal. Its an acquired taste but I agree MaCarbon's style is easy on the eye.

    F430addict,

I think your car would look hotter with the calipers painted yellow. Mmm...

True. The car would look hotter in bianco avus, black stripes, bbs f1 rims, yellow calipers and novitec twin charger kit...but where does one stop? Lol.

the job you did with your car is amazing..but honestly I have never been into flashy tacky upgrades. In my opinion it is just fantastic the way it looks like, no painted roof and no painted skirts, unless you put carbon fiber skirts like on the 16M.

I usually do not like colored brake calipers, unless the car is black or grey. If the car is bright color (like red, yellow) I love black standards calipers, as I have on my yellow f430.

Anyway again amazing job...great challnge you did in planning this "scuderization" of your no-longer F430.

Thanks for the kind words buddy. Much appreciated. I'm running silver scuderia calipers. I'm surprised they turned out looking pretty decent despite not being the usual red or yellow. Please post pix of your ride. Love to see her.

Update: The project car is close to completion. It's at the audio shop now getting new monster cables put in to run the four rear speakers. Should take two days then back to the shop to fit the remaining panels and passenger side seat. Roof liner has been fitted but didn't have a chance to see her in the flesh today. Hopefully tomorrow. Rollbar has been tig welded onto the frame plus rivet bolted. Harnesses go onto the harness bar so no more dangerous mountings anymore. Looks like she should be coming home soon. I shudder at the thought of the bill.

Excellent progress Addict - great to see this drawing to a conclusion.

Roof / colour / stripe - I'm not sure what I like so I'll leave that to you! :)

I do like the MAcarbon side sills as pictured here. Not a fan of the full kit but do think these look very good indeed.

Anyway, enjoy the balance of this phase (I'm sure the "project" itself will never be completed) and I look forward to your photo-shoot in the coming days.

Don't take it the wrong way. It was merely a suggestion.

Anyways, great job done on the whole project. What an awesome 430 you have.
