No affiliation, looks like a reasonable car with probably a long laundry list of jobs to do to get it running nicely. guessing some deferred maintainence but asking price seems reasonable.

(it does say further down in the comments that perhaps the current owner bought it in the $20's last year and is now onselling it).

Other than the two cars that evans has and one on anemera, this is the only other Jalpa for sale in the US. The comment are hilarious.

Perfect car to take for a spin after your formal boxing rival, now best friend dies in the ring after a brutal match with an oversized Russian.

The leather and outside look pretty good. The mech is another issue. Some are the standard things others smack of not being maintained properly.

"I don’t get it. Why is it that every time an exotic of this time period shows up, we hear the same old song and dance about how a four door Accord of today is faster. Unless it’s a Porsche 911 of course.

Years ago you could have put a Porsche engine in a VW, maybe even squish a turbo model in there and have the fastest car around. Buy you still have a VW.

Folks, we get it. Old Ferrari Mondials, V8 Lambos and a Maserati Merak might be beaten 0-60 by a Honda. And my motorcycle is faster and handles better than either. And my buddy’s Cessna is faster and…EGAD, it flies! Of course, my rocket car made out of 2x4s, chicken coop wire and a surplus NASA test engine would beat all these machines.

For that matter, my 8 year old can eat Cheerios faster than old lady MacNamara down the street, even with her new dentures. The stainless trim on my new Apple iMac is a nicer texture than the stainless band on your Porsche Targa. My living room couch is nicer than the seats in you Nissan, and is not as smelly.

In short, who the F cares what the performance is of a Honda Accord compared to any thing else. If you can’t afford the maintenance of a Lambo, DON’T FREAKING BUY IT!"

    LOL!!!!

    Well said Chad!!!!

What I started doing when I owned my Jalpa and people would say stuff like "How come you bought that? Isn't a Honda faster?" I would just look them straight in the eye and say: "I choose to be different. Instead of buying a car that has 200,000 copies rolling down the street, I enjoy driving a car I know will never encounter another on the road (unless I'm on a Lamborghini function drive). I don't buy a car because it goes 0-60 in "x" seconds. I buy these cars because they are beautiful works of art. Not mass produced."

Chad and Mike have it right on this!

I tell them something similar. I was changing my throttle cable in Fairbanks Alaska at the auto body work shop on Fort Wainwright and in the next bay was a Honda Fit. This guy was going on and on how slow my car was and that he could be me etc etc. I aksed him if his car was stock and told me he had about 10K under the hood, which he showed me. He then explained how impressive it was and wasn't I impressed. I told NO it is a honda Fit and no matter how much money you throw at it, it will still be a Honda fit. I biought my car because I wanted one from the time I was 8 years old.

He looked confused and walked away.

    Some people will never understand!

yeah. that is funny. these remarks reminds me of a scene in the movie "the jerk" at the restaurant when Steve says to the server about fine old wine: "No more of this old stuff! We are not stupid! We are sophisticated people! Give us new wine.."
I guess when it comes to cars, a lot of people want new wine..
