thats not the case re the photos,i search often on Google for type's of cars most of you would have NFI about via model numbers and chassis numbers and very few come up.
That makes 2 only 1 to go. I try to be reasonable and personable but I find this situation frustrating. A) because I don't agree with the principle of splitting the Aussie section and B)Because the terms of granting access are over and above what was originally proposed by those who wanted the private area.
I'm a member of the secret club there but I don't see what that has to do with this. Some of the people of that secret club aren't part of fchat so I don't think we should discuss events cross forums unless the organiser wants to. Poor 575 I volunteered to do it in the thread having met at least 20-30 of you guys since 2006 It doesn't matter Rob doesn't want to change things so we are left with Silver or owners. I vote neither and just stick to what we have.
You missed my piont, what I was saying and from what I recall MHH said is that what Greg wants is what happens there so it is relevant to this whole discussion. I'm just saying. Stop hassling me.
You have partial access to AE's private area, but not all of it. The way it is set up there, individual threads (specific runs for example) have access only to those who need to know.
It can be done. That's right but the section could of worked because its just easier to discuss things in a thread then bouncing millions of emails around. I didn't care about it being a lurker free section for RB. I was interested in it being a section for events n post events banter which doesn't need a googlebot/spider to cache
If you're not nice I'll develop selective ammnesia real quick. I really don't think it will happen because of this. Sure, what was asked for and what was provided are not the same, I thought the soloution offered was predictable given the stucture of F-Chat. At the end of the day we are no worse off than before, there is a bit of extra functionality called the aussie owners section, but that's simply subset/lablel of what was already there. I think RL deserves credit for trying to provide something and being responsive to the Aussie section (and quickly too ), although it isn't what Greg was asking for. M
Well actually now my forums are further down the page for no good reason. This section needs to be moved to the owners section where I don't have to worry about it until one day I buy a ferrari. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Some of you guys really aren't pressure players. We should organise a poker night at some stage. In all seriousness, I'm sure we can find a solution to let non owners in once all the hysteria settles down. If not, as suggested earlier the subsection will probably wither away.
Yes RL does deserve credit for acting quickly. I just think that it needs a little finessing to reflect the wishes of the constituents . The vote was overwhelimingly in favour of a private section . I can live with that and I can also live with the terms of access originally proposed. I suppose that the issue lies , as you pointed out, in wheather it can be incorporated within the structure of F CHat or not.
