LOLOLO,this guy is a joke.....does he still believe in the tooth fairy!!???
Please Luca, wake up!!! Santander money was great but, thanks to that you screwd up the team!!! First you get a snake like Alonso into the team, then you have to get rid of competent people o simply refused to work with him, than you fire Aldo Costa to bring his Friend from Mclaren....and on top off that, you let this guy run the team!!! The only thinh Stefano does well isto to kiss Alonso´s ass!!!!

The fact is the new Ferrari F1 is 1 second off pace. Of course, this is Domenicali's responsibility, but not entirely his fault.

"Domenicali's" F1 cars have been very reliable and stable the last 2 years...but still 1 second off pace. Alonso is a great driver, but his win 3 weeks ago was only luck.

Their pit crews have been fantastic, mechanical and engine reliability have been near perfect. But aerodynamic and engine performance are lacking.

Its very clear that Renault and Mercedes have the strongest/fastest engines so far this year.

When PdR on Force India is passing Alonso regularly...there is an issue.

"Their pit crews have been fantastic "

Can´t agree on this one, since 2007 they´ve been a mess. In 2008 Massa lost the title over pit mistakes, bas strategies and reliability issues...2009 i´ll forget because it was an odd year. In 2010 the pit crew was working very bad, many people left and it took a long time for the replacements to get the job done properly...even last year, ferrari was not among the fastest pit crews. This year things are prehaps better but last race, they took too much time with felipe´s 1º stop and they screwed him again in the second.

"Its very clear that Renault and Mercedes have the strongest/fastest engines so far this year. "

Don´t think they have better engines than Ferrari, the Saubers have good top speed, i think renault is probably more economical than both Ferrari and mercs engine but also less powerfull. Renault engines are winning more to the aerodinamics of the cars they are mounted on than on theyr own capabilities.

The problem with the car is in the chassis/aero department IMHO. The engine and pit stops (this year) have been fine. The MB is supposedly the most powerful engine but they got schooled on the straights in bahrain. There is only so much power a rev limited 2.4l engine can make. The black science/magic/art is in the chassis/aero/tire management area and that is where ferrari is at a loss. If these promised major updates don't deliver luca should simply tell stefano "ciao" at the end of the season.

Even if the updates work, i still don´t think it will be enough to put the car in the fight, the diference is ust to big to the front runners, everyone is going to improve alot until barcelona, probably between 3 to 5 tenths, so ferrari would need to take more than a second to catch the others!!! I just don´t see it.
So, in any case, Stefano should go...the big question is, who is going to replace him?

the updates may close the gap, but the other teams aren't sitting on their hands...if MB sorts their tire issues and RB's new found pace isn't a fluke then Ferrari will continue to be the "best of the rest"...

It is a miracle that Fred is only ten points off...

Do you think Ferrari will go to the "Dark Side" and finally hire an Englishman to run the team?

Well, they had a good one (the best in the buiness)..and they let him go...now he basicly is picking up everything Ferrari is throwing away and making a very good team with them....Merc already seems like the "old" Ferrari....and they are moving forward while Ferrari is going backwords!!! (If Nico wasn´t such a good driver, i would bet Ross with also pick Massa for 2013!!LOLO).
Seriously speaking, it won´t be easy to find the right person for the job....although Ascanelli might do a better job than Stefano.....Berger could also be a good man for the job

To mix a metaphore, it's like they left rehab early.
They thought that they were cured because they were winning and could do without supervision. On their own they relapsed.

No because they need a winner soon, so as to prevent more drama.

If Clifford comes good everyone will look the hero.
If not it will be a good time for some big changes.
Personally I think that the man who needs replacing most is the one least likely to step aside.

I agree, but fortunately (with Alonso at the helm) the car doesn't have to be the absolute best. It just has to be close and Ferrari can win the WDC. There is still hope for this year. McLaren looked unbeatable at the start and now they have had a couple crappy races in a row. Red Bull looked so so and now they look strong. Lotus is suddenly fast.

The main issue here is TIRES. With the rubber being such a wild card, it would be crazy to write this season off. Forza Ferrari.

Frankly, i don't care if a German, Italian, English or even a Malaysian run the Scuderia. What i care is accountability.

We knew from pre season tests the F2012 was a useless car. Yet, Dumbecalli kept on sending Pat Fry to answer all the journalists question.

Then, during the course of this past 4 races. he just kept stressing something that we all know : The team must improve. We're not silly. We know the team must improve. What we would like to hear, without spilling anything important is the plans they need to improve.

Finally, he kept on stressing that Felipe needs to pick up the pace. It seems to me that he's just trying to make Felipe the scapegoat here.

Overall, i think he's just a weak leader, and should have gone a long time ago.

LdM made a huge mistake by letting Brawn and Jean Todt go. I sincerely won't be surprise that this will be another start for a looongg spell in the doldrums.

    Hmmm, Flavio at the Scuderia...

He does have a history with Alonso and we know he will do ANYTHING to win...

I can see the company memo now:

"Stefano, Flavio is better than you."

Guys, Flavio!!!!!!!!!!!! Let´s not turn ferrari into a whore´s house!!!
The last thing they need is another cheater. With Flavio, ferrari would lose the last piece of dignity they still have!!! The only thing Flavio is good at is taking care of his own investments.
He screwed Trulli because he was faster than alonso, he did the same to Herbert when he realised he could be a problem to Shumi, he almost ended Gosjean carreer in a stupid way, and let´s not forget, he was responsible for all that crap at Singapore...the guy should be in jail, not leading a team.
