I believe I know the second one you refer to, it was a much paler colour, and very unusual, whereas the bright pink one stood out (not that any colour Countach wouldn't stand out). I was told that the bright pink one was later resprayed white.

Yes, thankfully. The Peach one is now dark blue, and in Australia. The interior is still the original Brown (Tobacco).

I believe the current owner was the first owner, then the one you met was the second owner, and the first/original owner bought it back! A bit of a confusing story. The first owner has it back on its original ROD 65 plates and there was an article on the car recently.

There were 4 RHD pearl QVs : the mint green interior, the ex-Rod Capp "18SEXY" car car picture above, the one in Scotland and the one in Australia. Any more?

Here you go: both at the Carrera Sport Testdays...and YES, I was there too!

The pink car was resprayed white, and the apricot car is above in navy in Australia.

THe owner of the pink Coutach is second from the left.

    That's it, exactly.

Its Rob (Capp), not Rod by the way. He had white LP500S, then Pearl QV, then Red Annivesario.

I still owe you the chassis number for C 169 EYE - looking. I know it was one car away from Jay Leno's QV though.

I believe David C still has the one in Aus so he would be an original owner also.

Thanks Joe. Are you sure it was a red anniversary (in which case which one) ? I saw him at a Ferrari Owners' Club Tesday at Brands Hatch in this pearl Anniversary. It turns out that there are at least 4 RHD Pearl Anniversary Countachs, although the identity of this one and the pearl with red piped white and grey carpets sold by Foskers in November 2011 is a mystery. ANyone know?

Can you remember where the article about ROD65 was? Missed it and it'd be interesting. Too many questions!!!

    Hi
I thought the pink countach or a pink countach was an 18th birthday present for a young lady?
I seem to recall one in the early 90's at silverstone and being told that story, by John the Jeweler?
Will ask Carlo about the Pearl white cars.

I'm sure that story goes back to the early 80s and Australian doctor Geoffrey Edelsten and his 19 year old girlfriend Leanne Nesbitt.

I really like yellow on the Countach too. When I started looking for a Countach, the first person I called was a local owner that brought a yellow 25th Anniversary to our Concours. Unfortunately, he sold it and it left the USA and went to Russia.

    Paul,
I have an 89 Anni car and installed these pads. Mine are the same front and back I dont know about your car...hence the don't take my word do your reaserch, title.
You might try calling Chad Bolles 803-798-3044 or
email him at lamborghinionly.com he is another great asset to us here.

I am extremly happy with this choice for pads...Porterfield 949-548-4470...(Part # AP163.650 TYPE: R4-S) this site shows you a picture of what the pad looks like so you know before you order. Take your pads out first (if you haven't already) and match them up...can you install the rear pads to the front caliper and viseversa.

    Amazing collection of pics Joe!

I like the opening statement...went something like...we drove'em there hard as we could, ran'em all day, drove'em just as hard back home.

Now that you have jogged my memory I must defer to you! Yes, his Annivesario matched his QV DD: its was pearl with white interior.

Don't remember which mag had the article on ROD 65. Might have been an internet-only piece..

The pink countach was bought new by a guy called Jeff who chose pink with a blue interior based on the colour of his gorlfriend's belt and leather jacket, so the story goes!

    Hi
It was 18 years ago so My memory isn't as good as it was!

    |Had my CT up for it's MOT today ( annual test of fitness for road in UK). Passed as usual. by coincidence the mechanic passed by. Seems like the calipers on the front and rear of my car are the same and pads front and rear def the same size! Mine reg in January 86 and I think was a nov 85 build, so one of the first built. I know the anniversary had same calipers, pads front and back. Anyone else the same on an early QV?
