This is the car at Motorcars International, it has SOLD with an agreement & financial commitment in place, and as of yesterday the understanding I have is that the deal is in the closing stages although not completely finalized.

FWIW it was a one-owner from new Enzo.

$1,450,000.00 seems a little steep; yes or no?

It depends on color, mileage, condition etc.

    Yes & no.

No because its actually under contract at close to that number (a bit less), and yes because that's the sort of number Id expect to pay for a black car with those miles.

No because its actually under contract at close to that number (a bit less), and yes because that's the sort of number Id expect to pay for a black car with those miles. Red cars bring less than black cars in the USA, typically.

I think it did, and neither price nor the car (apparently) was the issue.

Interesting that this car is for sale - it was part of a very interesting collection less than two years ago.

This poor car has seen more showrooms than highway miles. Someone, please, buy it and drive it.

Not to my knowledge! I have nothing in my notes that suggests there's anything wrong with it - and by the pictures, it's one damn fine Enzo! It's the ex-Sergei Federov car - and the rumor was that he sold so he could get into one of Ferrari's F1 cars in the Corse Clienti program.

Cauley had it for sale in January, 2005, with just 1,800 miles. Then they had it for sale again in March, 2006, with 1,900 miles. In July, 2006, it was purchased by LV Eric - at the time it was believed that Eric purchased it from Cauley, but our own Dan (kizdan) of Cauley later asserted that they had nothing to do with the sale.

On 08 December 2007, Shawn Williams of Exclusive Motorcars here in California advertised it for sale, with 3,500 miles, for $1.5MM. He advertised it through January, 2008, and then from 08 March 2008 through mid June it was for sale at Symbolic, 3,400 miles, $1,385,000.

Then in late September of 2008 it was for sale at the Auto Gallery, 3,799 miles, no price listed.

Then Beverly Hills Classic Cars had it on eBay in an auction that ended 21 February 2009 with a starting bid of $1.2MM and a Buy It Now of $1.35MM; 3,858 miles.

I stopped by BHCC the night of 29 November 2009, and this car was still there.

On 29 August 2010, it was for sale at BHCC still (again?) for $1.55MM. FerrariChat member James (Asian1118) of Almont, MI, confirmed the car was previously owned by Federov, "but I guess after he left Detroit and crashed it he didn't want it anymore."

But there's no proof of that.

The car showed up on eBay in June, 2011, through a private seller in California, 3,875 miles, $1,275,000.

Crave Luxury Auto had it for sale in mid-November, 2011, 3,885 miles, call for price, advertised as, "1[sic] of few built in Ferrari's pulverizing yellow," and "black leather Daytona sport seats" - obviously it doesn't have Daytona seats (although at least one yellow Enzo in the US was ordered with Daytona sport seats), and I guess you can consider a dozen yellow Enzos "a few" considering there are more than 100 Enzos in the country.

And now it's on eBay through Crave again, with just 4,022 miles. It's nearly a decade old and it's averaged only 402 miles per year. And that's just sad. It's like this big old fat Italian woman comes over to your house and makes this huge dinner with pasta and meatballs and garlic bread and lasagna and a carafe of full-bodied red and a huge tray of cannolis ...and you only have one meatball, a single ziti from the lasagna, a sip of wine, and no cannoli.

    Have a cannoli, damnit!
