    where do you think pricing may be in a year or two for low mileage, etc? with lp400s at 420,000.00, could qvs go at least 150-175 and higher soon?

    QVs currently range from low 100s to over 200K depends on the car and conidition.

    As for LP400S depends on the car and series series 1 are very high, with each series a little ower. There is a CT value thread. I suggest you post in there.

    I think as all the earlier car pricing gets higher & higher, The QV FI has to follow also in porportion. It is the only way some folks can get into the Countach market.

    I dont know what QV you are seeing selling for over 200k.. LOL..

    The cars are in the 90-120K range.

    Roy has his QV DD at 267K I believe and says he is getting overs very close to what he wants for the car.

    Also look at the private sales going to Europe and Asia well above 120K.

    Yes, I am, but MAJOR difference bewteen a QV FI car and a QV DD carb car...

    HOWEVER I can say, a recent sale of mine, for a QV FI car..was in the 6 figure mark over 100K...

    That is a Down draft car, with over 70,000 worth of recent service.

    Reg Q/V F/I cars are selling in the low 100s for nice examples..

    You don't know! A nice Euro (not converted) DD in #2-3+ condition needing nothing with low miles is $200K+ all day long. Show me one in that condition that can be bought for $90-$120 and I'll buy it for you as a gift...

    Please dont get me wrong. I love the DD cars, but with the buyers premium attatched, the choice was simple for me...FI. There are only a few pages in the parts book which are exclusive to the DD and FI cars. All the rest is the same car. If you want to get closer to the purity of the car, do the euro front & rear conversion, replace the entire exaust. You can take the $$$ saved and buy another toy :)

    I agree Reiner... what you suggest is Not a bad option. I love DD's but how can you
    argue with this? I love the look of the "true" rear end with the FI hood.

    Forgot to mention pricing (the original question).... isn't your typical qv
    FI car asking range right now 115 to 125 with cars selling in the 105 to 115 range?
    I would say plan to put 10g into it and you end up with a lot of car for the money=
    THE auto icon! or as Emilio would say "a one car, carshow"

    FI cars are a bargain.
    A few key mods: headers & exhaust, cams, aftermarket EFI (Motec or, electromotive if on a budget), adjustable shocks, euro trim lights & bumpers.....you then have best in breed and utterly reliable and great handling car. This would be my advice to any prospective buyer that wants to actually drive the car....frequently. My '87 has most of these mods and is about to roll the odometer. Great cars though, regardless of which variant you buy!

    I really love the FI rear hatch. You have good rear visibility. I can also see the FI plenuums thru the rear view mirror. I can watch the engine torque when accelerating.....pure sex.

    My car will look like the white car next year. I bought all the pieces from Evans but ran out of time...driving season is here now :)

    Believe me I love the look and simplicity of a DD engine bay!!!

    I just got back from a local car show. About 200-300 cars. I only stayed about 2 hours and was worn out. Always people around the car. I was very impressed how respectful people and thier kids were around the car. I live in an area where muscle cars are the thing, but people were very entusiastic about the Countach. Full of questions & smiles. Hands down more people around my car all afternoon than any other.

    In the U.S., people are paying over $200K, for an original euro dd QV ?

    In Europe and elsewhere, it is not a scarce Countach - in the U.S., it is.
