Way back in 1998 when I was looking for 5 speed 400is, I called them about one that they advertised for sale and made an appointment to go see it. I did everything I could to establish my credential as a serious buyer and I told the sales guy that I wanted to drive it. Well, I drove an hour and 15 minutes from CT across the Hudson only to see that the car was buried way in the back of their storage building and there was no hope of starting it up or seeing it run on the road.

I was not impressed with WWOC.

I bought my 400i in California.

Nice.. so what your saying is that they have been like this for a long time now.. Nice.. Really nice.. Keep up the good work boys.. We should keep this thread going.. Hopefully others will chime in on their experiences.. Then I can print it and personally deliver it to the owner of the dealer.. If he cares he will read it and act.. If he doesn't, its on him..

I second this. Dean is tops and is formally the parts manager from WWoC.
He recently found me NLA exhaust analyzing ports for my 308.
And he's a heck of a nice guy to boot :)

    Hello All,

I would like to extend my sincerest apologies to you all. I am appalled by what I have just read. We do have a courteous and conscientious Parts Department and we truly value your business. I am glad that this has been brought to my attention so that I may rectify any of our shortcomings, and continue to improve our business so that we may better serve you. I do hope that you consider continuing to do business with us, so that we may prove to you that we do truly value you and are indeed serious about making good on our promises to help you in any way possible. In an attempt to rectify the situation, our Ferrari/Maserati building now has a dedicated phone number: 845) 425-3002, with the Parts Department extensions being: 247 and 260. If there is still no reponse, as our parts personnel may be helping other customers, you may reach our Parts Manager, Jason Marcella, on his cell phone at 973)222-3214. If there are any issues that arise in regards to this, please feel free to contact me personally at 845) 425-3002 Ext:228. Again I truly apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused.

    Sincerely,

    Michael Mastrangelo
    General Manager/ Operating Partner

    Michael,

I just want to tell you that whatever you did, worked. I spoke with Jason today (very nice guy) regarding an order I placed over a year ago and didn't have a chance to pickup. I had called numerous times and was not able to get anyone to talk to me in order to have it shipped. Today I called, Jason picked up right away, and was able to ship it to me.

    Thank you very much!

    Erik

Ha, small world, it was! S/N 55019. It was a very nice color combination and the description indicated it was in good shape although the price was very high for the time, at $42,000. It's too bad I didn't get a chance to find out how the car drove.

I hope you didn't have it there to be sold on consignment because it stayed in inventory until at least January 2001 when a pretty significant price reduction was announced and presumably it sold soon after that.

Any idea where it is now?

The world is small. That was a very nice car, I have fond memories. I had traded the 400i in for the Daytona #14771.

Thought I'd add my 2 cents. Had an issue with a dashboard reset on my 430 spider due to me stupidly turning the manual battery disconnect on memorial day (since fixed by reloading my proxy from Italy which took 2 days due to the earthquake but that's a different story). Obviously all the dealerships were closed and used the mobile above to call jason (in parts) from wide world as I really had no other option. He returned my call and got one of their master technicians (nick) on the horn with me that night. Nick troubleshooted the issue with me telephonically and was even willing to get a flatbed down to me that night (ultimately wasnt needed). whatever issues people had in the past (my family bought two modials from them in the 80s so ive got some older history myself), these guys really went above and beyond. Ymmv but they didn't need to take time out of their holiday night and did it anyway. Two massive thumbs up for these guys and nick/Jason in particular.

Great to deal with and never had a single issue. Even the dealership on a whole is excellent and have bought 3 cars from them already.

First and only time I ever called them was to get an estimate for a major on my 328. On hold forever, until I was informed that they didn't know, and would have to get back to me. I guess they had never performed a major on a 328 before...

We pay alot of money for these cars.. The least they can do is pick up the phone.. Maybe they are breaking all kinds of service and parts sales records that they are so busy they cant even walk to the phone because of the crowd of people pouring out the building.. Like fans at a Justin Timberlake outing... Maybe Hanna Montana is there.. Let me check the news paper..

Not to mention while my 2013 spider was in for tire and wheel repair they scraped the paint off my rear bumper and it needed to be painted.

Why can't parts just pick up the phone.. So lets understand the process..

    1. Try and call parts, get no answer
    2. Call dealer back and talk to Mike and cry as to why parts dont answer the phone.
    3. Maybe get a call back from Mike apologizing. Try calling again they should pick up.
    4. Call parts dept. and hope they pick up.

Rinse and repeat everytime I need the parts dept..

That could be one scenario.. How about this one..

    1. Past few months tried calling parts department on various days to speak to someone in parts.. Never answers the phone.. and yes never left a message.. Its easier to wait a bit and try again.. maybe later on that day or even next day..

    2. Get fed up.. Post my experiences here on Fchat.. Have other members here share as well in their negative experiences with dealer. Some positives as well.. Lets kepp it real..

    3. Get PM from high up at dealer concerned over the poor service I received when:
    a. Never really got any service because no one picks up the phone.. I never got any service, how can we talk about poor service when there was none to begin with..

    4. Was given this persons cell number to call and discuss the matter further.

    5. Place call to number given.. guess what.. to voicemail.. tried a few times in the past hour.. He dont pick up the phone either.. Let me tell you.. If I know I have a issue on hand and I give my cell number to someone to call and discuss the matter.. The phone is pretty much glued to me to make sure when that call does come thru I answer.. Why you ask.. because that is the way I conduct business.. We are all not perfect by no means.. but.. come on..

    Remedy..

You tell me.. Its not about leaving messages and waiting for a call back.. Its about picking up the phone.. While writing this.. just tried cell number again.. surpise.. rings... does anyone pick up.. ??? Nope.. Lets do this.. Lets take a negative and use it to turn it into a positive... Step up and everyone will benefit..
