Hey do any of you guys service your car anywhere other than LFSC or CF? Because in the next 10k or so I will be needing a timing belt and waterpump and do not really want to spend almost $6k at the dealer, the previous owner had it serviced at Competzione(spelling?) And they only charged him around $3k, so I was wondering if anyone had a good experience with other shops around here. Thanks!

I've seen others praise Euroquipe on this board, although I've never used them myself. Do a search for the name, there's plenty of references to it.

Recently I had Lake Forest sports car do a PPI for me. After their inspection I decided to buy the car. it was also determined that it was time to do a major service for the car. As you know that includes a belt change. I have to say, they did a great job and I'm very glad I had it done at a Ferrari dealer. Even though it was a little more expensive, I find great peace of mind knowing that the dealer did it with the warranties that come with their service.

I called them today and they were very friendly, but had almost the same prices at Continental. I am just looking for a shop to do the major for cheaper, but not cheaply. Another member PM'd me a different shop will be calling them later today for a quote.

    I use you currently! LOL!

I always had good luck with Continental doing Service on my car.

Luckily, my car has been running great for the last few years and no need to service it. I do my own oil changes, case of oil = $49 , filter = $28 , about 45 min. to change oil....

Currently i have a friend doing my Major now, he is a certified Lambo,Maserati and Ferrari mechanic. He does very detailed work, he has done other service on my car and i am happy with his work, just isn't the speediest, if i'm not in a hurry to get my car back, i let him work on it.

Figure a Major on my car, a 328, takes about 40-45 man hours to do, plus about $1,200 in parts. But of course when everything is apart, there are always the additional surprises that pop up which means more time and money......

+1 I am a big fan of Continental Auto Sports. When they did my major, I had 5 years of trouble free driving. I am also a mechanically inclined person and do my own oil changes. But if I have something difficult (beyond my capabilities), I would trust Continental. A little extra cost is worth it. 10% discount isn't worth much if you are left stranded or have a major mechanical failure. How much fun is that?

I have found LFSC's service charges to be very competitive.

Back in 2004 is when Continental did my Major, it was about $7,500. But like i said, there was extra repairs they did, my shift shaft seal was leaking and they fixed that, they also installed a Tubi Muffler that i bought too(tubi price not included in that total). A few months later i needed a major overhaul on my A/C and Continental did that too, which was about $2,800.

Went there today for a service and check up. Very nice staff, clean space, nice waiting room. There prices were great, and there service was quick, I didn't have to wait 4 hours for an oil change like I did at other places.

The Oil change ran around $200 for everything. The only downside is they had no wifi, but the plus side is there was a great china buffet and tj maxx next door, so I spent a bit of time in there.
