    Hello,

    Was your car certified with the rims on the pictures?
    I doubt very much that these ones are original. They are far too wide and seem to be newer Campagnolo reproductions.

    What do you think of this great picture from 275 'GTC' 08457 at the 1967 Nürburgring 1000 km ? It's a picture I couldn't resist sharing with you all..
    best,

    Maybe it's just the angle but its ride weight seems close to some modern SUV's

    08465 275 GTC is up for auction in February. I assume this is the car the thread starter was referring to.

    The estimate seems a bit low for such a unique car, but it also suffers from a lot of mods that in my opinion should be reversed. (Carbs, roll cage, plexiglass window, color)

    How did Classiche certify it in this configuration?

    The car was modifed AFTER the certification…….. happens all the time.
    Also, the description by the auction house is partially incorrect.

    That's unfortunate, and in that case the ad is realy misleading. It reads as if the certification happened after all of the modifications.

    =========================
    When the current owner acquired the car, wanting to ensure its reliability, he gave it to Martial, one of French Ferrari importer Charles Pozzi's former maestros, for a full mechanical overhaul. The engine was dismantled and rebuilt to the highest standards and the fuelling changed from three to six Weber 40 carburettors. In order to take part in historic racing and to improve the handling, the suspension was improved with springs and adjustable dampers. The car was fitted with big brakes, front and rear stabilizer bars and an FIA compliant roll-cage. In addition it has just received its new PTH. A plexiglass rear window with openings was fitted to improve ventilation to the cockpit. Most of the original parts will be made available to the buyer (including glass rear window and front and rear bumpers). The car was red when the current owner acquired it, but having a strong preference for grey cars, he had it repainted Grigio Ferro by Lecoq. The car was then sent to Ferrari for Classiche certification, which was a formality, as it retains its original chassis, coachwork and mechanics. The fact that the chassis is stamped '275 GTC' is also noted.
    ==========================

    And who is this Lecoq? They are so full of themselves that they think people want to see mounted placards from them after they restore or paint a car. (Pictures 36 and 37) One more thing to correct and probably at least 4 more holes.

    Lecoq is dead for some times. So just the name remains. He was a real artist . Now a real corporation..
