I think that I will keep all four and let the Prancing Horse be additive . . . just need to make room in my wife's garage! Or maybe it's time for a home improvement project--you can never have too many garages!

Here is an opulent $2 Million garage (can't take credit for this one) that was recently featured on a HGTV show called 'Million Dollar Rooms'. The home is located in San Juan Capistrano, CA that looks like a Renaissance-style ballroom, but is actually an eight-car garage.

    Here is a description:

The space features barn-style hydraulic doors that open to a 35-foot mural (hand-painted by a team of 12) and the largest mosaic ever to be installed in a private home: the floor, which consists of Chinese marble tiles that took two years to assemble in place.

"I think the first time we brought cars in here, we both held our breath," says former owner Shelley Brose, who also called the garage "a tad bit decadent, I agree, but it's very useful."

As a ballroom it hosted Brose's son's 500-person wedding; guests certainly enjoyed the white, hand-carved Carrara-marble screen designed to obscure views of the urinal in the men's bathroom. Now if you're thinking this glorified car storage is part of some $50M estate, think again: Villa Rosa Rugosa was first listed for $15M but just sold in February for $4.7M. You can take a tour by visiting this link on HGTV:

Or, how about this $5 Million car lift that hides an underground garage that is large enough to hold 40 vehicles, or park 9 bus-sized RVs. And how does the owner get his rides down there? With a massive hydraulic lift like is used on an aircraft carrier. At 60 feet long and 12 feet wide it's capable of lifting over a quarter of a million pounds, requires 800 gallons of hydraulic fluid, and uses $25 worth of electricity every time it's raised and lowered.

The home is for sale for $49.9M.

My garage is not huge and filled with many cars. It is a very functional shop where I can service my 348 and fabricate any parts that I may need that are not available. ;) In the near future, I will be moving my business out of my home. At that time, I will be removing some of the shelving around the walls. Then I will paint the floor and walls and bring in my flags, signs, table/chairs area and my auto memorabilia. I will also update my tv to a bigger flat screen. FYI, the small tv up in the corner is connected to a cc camera that gives me a view (and sound) of the front drive so I do not miss a FedEx or UPS shipment. I have found that sometimes, they only knock and do not ring the bell. Plus, after just completing the installation of my a/c system in my garage, I do not want to raise the door and let the cool air out every time I think I hear a truck pull up. :D The garage is a 3 car unit. So I am using one stall for the shop area and my 348 is parked in the middle of the other two areas. I am still trying to find a good spot for the blast cabinet. I will be installing a Maxjax lift system next. ;)
