Not me, makes me glad to see the car driven and enjoyed at and over its limit. Much better the gravel trap at the track than a tree or kid at the side of a public street.

Any one have a pic of their wiper so I can show the man at the machine shop how it should look. Preferably a close up of the the small wiper and the small arm it is mounted to.
Does the Ferrari boxer share the same wiper arm???

Thanks for posting this. I promptly searched for a copy & it arrived today. Great write up! I also got a chuckle out of the letter titled "Bull" ;)

Joe or anyone, I have always been curious...are there any RHD Countachs in the USA?

1120026 was here for awhile, but I don't think any other RHD cars remain.

Yea, the only way 195 mph is legit is with an Exocet missile attached. But the myth adds to the mystique.

Timed with a stopwatch :) It does illustrate how tough it can be to find a stretch of road, without traffic, where one can actually open these cars up tho. I've read most of this article in a book also, but its nice to have the actual magazine. Gives you a better feel for the era in which it was published

Listen, back in 1987, I was 25 years younger, single, and owned an almost-new bright red Countach QV DD. I told every lady I met that it could do 195 mph, and kept a tattered copy of that magazine in the car. Judging by the effect it had on them, they must have believed me...

If I told my wife of 22 years that a Countach can do 195mph, she would just roll her eyes. Rightly so :)

    We have grown up.

Ha! Great story as well! To be clear, I meant timed with a stopwatch, ;) as in wink, wink, lol
I think you could have told most people it would do 220 and they wouldn't doubt it!
