I'm having trouble getting the soft top on my 1995 F355 to go down. It appears to a mechanical jam. The deployment works as normal to start. Seats move and top retracts almost all the way down before getting stuck.

I have tried to gently push on teh top but it still is getting stuck.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Do not push on the frame and check out all the other threads about 355 spider roofs - if you're lucky its simple like a microswitch or low hydraulic fluid

When this happened to me, it was because I failed to perform step 4. Step 1, apply e brake. Step 2, undo latch. Step 3, move top back until beep sounds. Step 4, move second overhead bar (the one directly over your head) back until it stops. Step 5, push top button.

That overhead bar is important. Make sure its not under strain.

I think step 4 is supposed to be performed automatically by an elastic strap, if I remember correctly. Mine doesn't require step 4, and works normally every time.

I put in a new elastic band and it still doesn't really go back all the way. So I still "help" with step 4. Such a complicated roof these 355 Spiders have!!!
