    Hey, Dan! That's GREAT!

Boy, I wish you had some sort of data overlay to see speeds, g-loads and timing information. I remember fondly my first event at CMP nearly 15 years ago in a LeMans 512 BB/LM. Talk about hot brakes! Video/data like this: http://youtu.be/61ZgOrsVtTg

On those brakes, see if you can bend the dust shields back a little to allow more air to the rotors. Non-permanent and would make a big difference.

Try and be more decisive with most of your turn-ins, i.e. not add MORE steering input after the initial angle and speed. You can brake deeper for Faith (turn 5) and overshoot that right hand curb to do it in a straight line. Also, use the entire width of the road. 2 minutes is a good time for the car you're driving and you are smooth!

I've had a lot of fun at CMP. My purpose-built, 150 bhp race car will do 1:35-36 and I have the SCCA track record for my class there. It's fun!

Thanks Peter. I might get some fancy telemetry one day. For now it consists of timing the laps on video with a stopwatch. We had an on-board timer in our Lemons car for the March race and that's a great tool, for sure.

I'll work on my turn in and try that different line through 5. I know that there are places where I can use more throttle, but I like to proceed cautiously. That is my daily driver, after all. ;-)

I'll take a look at those dust shields.

Old video, qualifying on old tires from previous season so I'm a bit cautious as grip was limited. May help a bit, not a full lap though.

I'm heading to CMP June 16-17 w/ Tarheel Sportscar Club. www.thscc.com Hope to see some of you F-Chatters there. Will have to time a few laps - will be my first time in the Gallardo on the full course there.
