what do you think would be a better investment... f50, perfect condition with around 10k km. or a 1970 miura p400s. or a 2002 pagani zonda c12s. they are offered to me at the same price.

I think all 3 will appreciate.. The question is, which one will you enjoy owning more while they do. If you are buying them purely for money (which i dont think you are), then you missed the boat on the Miura. The F50 might be the underappreciated car here as crazy as it sounds.

How much are Zonda F going for? $1M?

    F50, no contest there.

There are a good number of Muiras, and the Zonda just doesn't have the allure of the F50.

I don't think a zonda would be a good investment. It doesn't seem like a car that will appreciate.
So F50 vs miura. I say F50 because I think it is more rare and it would compliment to F40 nicely.

Have you driven a few Miura's? Lots of work to keep it fettled if using regular.

You could get a mint 5000QV and Extra 300 for an alternate thrill at a similar ticket.

I'd say Miura, they are undervalued now. Does it make sense they are about half a 275GTB? Compare a Miura to some of the recent Dino prices, now is a good time to get a Miura I'd say. I feel F50 prices have remained reasonably stable and don't look set for a huge jump any time soon, I know a good one owner car that could interest you. Owning and driving a Miura will have its headaches, but such a sexy looking car. A 60's icon that will add diversity to you collection. The Zonda is brilliant car, but somehow just seems to struggle a bit with the heritage status which is a shame. Good luck !!

Obviously if you get an F50, you need to put this exhaust config whatever it is..

IMO...pay 1/3 cash for each and finance the rest & get all three :D :D

honestly, i don't think one can consider as an investment, so which would you prefer to drive? the zonda are pretty rare, but dont have the race history of Ferrari, and not the legend of miura (exotic car paternity)

I think the F50 would appreciate more than the Miura due to lower production numbers and brand. But definitely not the Zonda.

That sound is unbelievable....but on topic, I'm from the younger generation so I've grown up with the tail end of the Zonda to drool over and the fresher F-supercar in the Enzo. That being said, I do agree with everybody here about the F50 holding its value the best in the future, plus it seems more intriguing than any of the others. Plus it sounds the coolest :p

being a person in position to buy such cars, i'm curious to know you opinion about why the zonda is unlikely to appreciate in future?
    thanks :)

If it's for investment I would go for the F50 and maybe in a few years add an Enzo?

But the Zonda is thought one, most rare, looks and builds just fantastic and must be a lot of fun to drive it.

If you want a garage queen and never drives it the Muria is the one.

In your prize range, a Reventon may be a choice?

If the investment is to be in any way a function of use then the decider might be to drive both - if one turns out to be a car you'd love to drive lots then its investment potential would be lowered as it clocks up the miles

i dont need to drive any one car much. so mileage wont be a big issue.
there are some distressed assets out there that are coming towards me, so eventho i had not previously contemplated adding anything more, some of these are tempting.
but the investment side is key since i already have transportation.... :)

Leave the pagani, in the long run, the Ferrari or the Miura are better investments IMO.
I would pick the F50, it´s a relativly rare car.

Would definitely not go anywhere near the Zonda (regardless of how much it costs). If you compare the mileage that these cars rack up over a set period, it's astounding! It's a drivers car. There is little or no point setting this as investment as you would expect the value of the product to match the quality.

I would, however, explore into both the other aforementioned cars as it seems like there should always be a market for an F50 or Muira- a safer option (only if under the pretense of an 'investment').

    Michael.

P.S. Apart from everything else I am all up for any of those cars. Enjoy your choice!

No doubt, the F50. It's the rarest car and the brand alone will make it the more attractive of the 3. Had you said Zonda F, it would be more of a competition. But this is the first Zonda line, and it's not the most desirable one. The F50 is a sure thing, and a safe investment in the long run.
