That Blue car I like it so very much, light Blue with White wheels and White stripes. The market could determine that Yellow and Black Scuderias have lower resale, but despite of the lower resale value, it is not a problem, buy cheap, sell cheap. The only problem I see is buying brand new, as new Scuderias don't have a discount for some colors, but Scuderias are not made any longer, so whoever is buying a Light Silver, Yellow, Black, no stripe, stripes on unique colors, is paying lower market value, and trading-in or selling at a lower value in the future. I like Gold wheels, I have two sets, just not the shade of copper-gold that Scuderia wheels had, but a brighter more realistic Gold color.
aieeeeee ... looks like a Japanese cartoon car from Cars 2. Back to sanity, please--here's a Resale Red 16M I saw today at FCI, Ferrari Approved with warranty, ask 285k. http://www.foreigncarsitalia.com/2009-Ferrari-F430-Greensboro-NC/vd/10192268 Somebody call Hank and take it home. It shouldn't be cooped up in a showroom.
Just buy the black and gold Scuderia. And if/when you are done with it, you can always sell it to Hertz for their rent-a-racer program! Kidding! If it looks good in your eyes, buy it. Performance isn't color dependent! DL
Actually, me dealer has been unbelievably amazing to me on all counts...and really did try to get FNA to allow this warranty sale. Also, the inspection was only going to be $252 (2 hours) for the compression test because I was doing it at the same time as my "major" (which was only $2977 fwiw). And, they were selling me the PowerTrain for $3000 - which I believe is their cost - I "think" MSRP on it is $3600 or more...I've seen the warranties offered at a discount in email blasts from two dealers over the past year (not counting my dealers offer to see well below MSRP).
Actually, black cars on gold rims are pretty retro theme. I've seen it in old school BMWs, Mercs and 911s. Here's a example. http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6012/6010155290_4c26a7b6b1_z.jpg It's more of a bronze anyway. Image Unavailable, Please Login
yes but that is a master creation in comparison to the scud in my book So this 911 can be pink with polka dots and it will be perfect. and I own a scud
Anyone think the px of Scuds are falling pretty hard, paid over 305k for mine 2008 3k miles seeing cars offered @ 185k? Thoughts Maybe im just being a cheap ass?? thx!
This is from reading other threads, but several would argue that the Scuderia when originally launched was priced too high. In other words, the huge price difference between an F430 and Scuderia was not warranted. Still those that could afford to buy new did. The large initial price drop in the first 2-3 yrs since launch could be a combination of 'price correction' plus poor economy (at least in the U.S.). I am the 3rd owner of my 2008 car, and I purchased it at 4K miles in 2011. The cost per mile is scary for the first owner who put so few miles on the car but sold it far below MSRP which I assume he paid. The 2nd owner did better as he drove more miles and the difference between his purchase price and sale price was less. That being said, the prices for Previously owned Scuderia seem to have leveled off. Of course you'll see the typical fluctuation due to mileage differences and car condition. DL
Its worse in Switzerland SCUD CHF 340 to CHF 180, strangely 430 Spiders holding well and fewer of them for sale
Lots of threads and discussion on the depreciation curve for scuds and current market values. Do a search and you will find more commentary than you wanted!
Scuderia prices have moved up the last 6 months. More buyers than supply. I will update the pricing formula by year's end, I expect them to gain another $10k compared to December 2011. Whoever bought a Scuderia up to 30 months ago in the used market, is enjoying a car whose only depreciation is driven by mileage driven (expected with any car).
Just blame it on the US market for the falling pricing ,i would just hang on to them and the price will increase it about supply and demand just give it time,
When I was shopping for my 430 I saw tons of Scuderias and spiders for sale. Don't see where there is lack of them at all. I didn't want either one and had trouble finding an 08, 09, resale red coupe instead. In fact, there are virtually NO 09s (I only found 2) that were not Scuderias or spiders.
Maybe I,am reading this wrong, first you say there ton of Scuderias and spiders for sale ,then you say there no virtually No 09s that were not scuderias or spiders, don,t understand ????????
He was looking for a coupe. And his comment was that all 2009 cars available were either Scuderias or Spiders.
Summer is always a better selling season for exotics and demand increases. Scud prices will continue to drop as more 458's are produced. The 458 is a good car. Who knows were the prices will even out at. Low mile Scuds will always command the higher prices. If I was going to guess. i would say well used Scuds will bottom out at $150-$160's for a couple of years until the next hot version of the 458 comes out. I think CS's will hold at $120-$135 for a good example.
Virtually all CS transactions this year are above that range just so you know. Where did you get this erroneous information that you posted?
