Why shouldn't they charge absolutely as much as the market will bear? Why leave anything on the table for those who only want to buy one to flip it for their, not the factories, profit?

This pricing information comes from a source I believe.

    We shall see.

Do you have any figures to compare that to, prior to fitting the KERS you just designed ?

Yes. Last November on an apples to apples course "The Ring" with verified timing we did a 7:15 with no KERS and an engine with about 10 less HP vrs a 6:51 with KERS and a futher but still endurance tuned motor with about 10HP more. Our weight was 50 Kilo's higher when we ran 6:51.

2500 LBS with KERS? Wow. I'd like to see that.

I'd be very impressed if they reach those specifications especially that weight.

The other specs are really not that impressive (to me anyway), if only because other cars have already reached them. Power these days is fairly easy to make, and with AWD and launch control a 0-60 time of 2.5 seconds is blindingly quick, but not "shocking".

But a curb weight of 2500 LBS with all the required legal nonsense that modern cars must have would really, really impress me. That, I would think above all else, would make this car very, very special to drive. In my humble opinion, you can't ever truly compensate for excess weight.

It won't happen, its a much realistic goal of getting the weight at or below 3000. That would still make the car considerable lighter than an Enzo. FWIW I have not heard anything about the weight being that low.

I agree that 3000 lbs is a worthy goal.

If by "disguised prototypes" they really mean "mules" ... then they are indeed grasping at straws.

Mules aren't prototypes. Mules need not bear any resemblance, visually, to the final car.

Looks a lot better if you download the digital issue as then no page split and overall proportions better.

    Ugh!

Someone obviously took an LFA and molded the Enzo to it.

Makes sense as Carroll's passing reminds them of just how fast they were...
