Hey gang, do any of you have something nice for your windshield? Prefer to buy something made for the car, BUT I don't want the super thin kind most places sell, that as soon as it heats up it bends and the whole thing drops from the windshield. Plus they allow a lot of heat to pass thru. I prefer the ones that fold like an accordion; they're bulkier, but protect much better. And don't bend at the visors and mirror with heat. Links and pics would be awesome. Otherwise will have to buy one from Pepboys (yikes! :)). Thank you in advance for your help.

I use one that is made out of a fabric polyester which is silver on one side and black on the other. It has two round strands of plastic at the edges so it folds up easily. If you buy the largest size it will fit into the grrove by the sides of the A pillars and windows so you don't have to put down the sunvisor to hold it in place. ( This is good because folding them all the time eventually causes the sun visors to quit and droop hand down)

I bought mine at the accessory store at a toyota dealership.

Good timing, I've been looking too.

My old existing one does not fit, will put it back in my other car.

So I started looking, the custom ones, either online/ebay, are all around $40.
The nice thing is that they are custom fit, but still the principle of $40 for that is a bit silly.

So, I am just measuring the window of my Cali to be covered: 63x29 inch.

My idea was to buy a large standard one, cut it to perfect size and strengthen the edge with some good quality red material. Maybe even a small Ferrari logo on the side top.
    But..
I have not found a size big enough to make the proper cut out. The jumbo sizes on Amazon (like the Basix Magic Shade Super Jumbo Sunshade) have great quality reviews, but are too small for now (27x67)
So, I will keep looking in the next few days and post what I'll find.

Of course it is easier to buy custom ones, Ebay has 2 good sellers and online you find more (http://www.autoaccessoriesgarage.com/Interior-Accessories/Sun-Shades/_Ferrari-California)
But I want somthing better looking.

Will keep you informed, please do the same.

Thank you for your help, but would you mind posting the brand (it must have a tag) and dimensions so we can look for it online? A Toyota dealership can sell anything, and by your description, yours sounds like a great alternative to avoid wearing out the flimsy sunvisors. Thanks.

Sure will. As a word of caution, I've bought several of those custom fitted sunshields, and most ended up being crap. Therefore, I prefer something that works over perfect fit. If we can have both, great. But I'm not buying unless somebody here can vouch for it :D. Have a great weekend ahead folks.

So, went to Pepboys, bought this:
Max Reflector Jumbo Accordion Shade by Auto Expressions
It does not fit (I know, as expected). The height is not sufficient. It is 27 inch high, we need 29 inch height.

Living in Florida, I need a good one. Will post my findings, please post here any experience you have with your sunshade.
    Thanks
    Collin
