Gents, Dos anyone have a decent emissions sticker on their US spec 95 F355? Mine is all but gone as is everyone else that I've talked to. It seems, unless I am mis-informed, that this sticker is not available from Ferrari? Most of these stickers seem to have lost their writing and whatnot. Would be great if I could get these made by the guys that do our other stickers if Ferrari is not offering them. Thanks!
Funny you should ask... I am also looking for one since my 1995 F355 is missing it. Chris and Rick sent pics of their stickers, but the stickers are very worn and are hard to resurrect even in Photoshop. Jim at Cavallo has a 1995 F355 in consignment, but it has missing sticker and he is looking for one too. FOS mentioned that there is place that can make a sticker given a good photo. I may go this route if FOS cannot locate a sticker for me.
I found the document attached which is a CA CARB approval doc for the 1995 F355. I wonder if it can be used in lieu of sticker. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Cool beans I need one also If I can get a good copy of an OEM for a California 1997 I will have a batch printed off for whoever wants one
Here's the deal: I talked to Ferrari of San Diego and Ferrari of NA will produce this for your car on an as-needed basis per VIN. The process takes about 3 weeks or so and from what I could deduce it will not be like the original but a replacement that includes your vin number. no word if it is a document, plaque or sticker.
If you could take a straight on picture, that would be awesome. Thanks! This really helps alot. If you could post a shot with max resolution allowed for posting, that would be great.
Or you can email it to me and I can send it off to the sticker company. Or it might make more sense to get sticker stock and just print as needed?
We'll need to change the VIN # on the sticker or edit to leave blank so a sticker can be placed in the VIN location.
Here's a photoshop cleanup of the sticker Paul provided. A higher res and straight-on pic would be better. Image Unavailable, Please Login
If we could get that I have my graphic guy do a number with it, higher res the better Or even better would be a scan of it but thats a bit of work
Sorry for the extra work. The photo I posted was just one I snapped two years ago when I was registering my car for the first time. I'll try to get a better one taken tonight or tomorrow.
Slightly improved version. I didn't get a photo done tonight, but will try to get it done tomorrow. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for the high-res pic you e-mailed me. I attached a photoshop'd version. It looks really good. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Is anyone looking into making a batch of these? If so, put me down for one. It's the one detracting feature of my engine compartment, not to mention costing points at shows. Scott
I awaiting a better pic, but if it doesn't transpire I was planning on optimizing the current pic I have and printing some 2.7 stickers. It will be on high temp resistant white label stock (good to 212F) or silver weatherproof polyester, but won't have the identical feel as the stock label. I am getting a sample of the silver label to test to make sure if is suitable like the white label. It should be good for the Smog visual inspection. The label stock is a bit pricey, but if we have enough takers then it would be feasible. I would most likely charge $15/each to cover adding your VIN, materials, printing, coating and shipping. Please PM me your e-mail address and I will contact you when I get everything lined up.
I am working on getting a sticker pic for a F355 5.2 so that I can get a clean engine diagram for the 1996 - 1999 years. I'll also need the engine family name and evap emission family info for the current sticker which according to SoCal1, is different than 1995 and maybe different for different years as well. Once I have this, I should be able to do all F355 model years.
