Awesome photo's capt!
Close Dr. I ! It's our 5 year USCG / DNV.... yep... ship hasn't had a day off in 5 years. Here are some full size photos from day 1. First a water blast, then sand blast and then 5 coats of paint. Butcher - I asked about the Claybar and wax... - and they said - @#$^% !! I did request Rossa Corsa for the bottom paint.... I got the same response..... yad-dada, yad-dada...ABS, DNV it's all the same ! Noisey ! So if this isn't too personal...how's your tail shaft and stern tube bearing?
After close inspection this morning, tail shaft is excellent with just the right taper... a die check revealed no cracks, and stern tube has just the right amount of fluid - the all important stern tube seal is in great shape - showing little wear and tear... !! My bow thruster was removed !!! but just for a close inspection of the shaft and ball bearings... it is being replaced today !!
A couple of FOGgers were observed tearing up Sears Point yesterday. I'm pretty sure that one of them turned in a personal best lap time. I got to tag along for one session. How ironic that it was the longest 20 minutes of what I thought at the time would be my lifespan. Image Unavailable, Please Login

It was great seeing some you guys again at Laguna and meeting some new friends. I'm thinking about coming down and crashing a FOG breakfast, don't worry, I'll park around the corner .
+ 1 you're welcome as my navigator any time you wish to come along Michael. It's always a joy hanging out with you, a true tifosi.
Michael is the truest of tifosi. You have a seat waiting any time. Note to the unwashed, Michael is one of the few to have the guts to drive up the hill with me in Virginia City. That alone qualifies him as insane or a true tifosi. I choose the latter.
"Michaelpedia" I would show up just to talk to Michael and hear some more of his unbelievable stories about the Sultan of Brunei and his (past) collection of Ferrari's...... You might have a hard time picking your seat.... How about if I let you drive my car??
Last time I met/talked to Michael was in the 2011 Ferrari Challenge. Agree with all the comments above. I learned quite a bit of info on the CS which are not available elsewhere, very knowledgeable individual. So Michael, here is another pick for you, 430 vs CS!
Thanks man! It was great seeing you again. Hearing your Tipo F129B sing through straight pipes is always a treat. I look forward to hanging out with you again. I think its a combination of both, but hey what do I know? I think this year its going to be a lot easier to walk up the hill at VC. In September I will have been out of the wheelchair for a year instead of a day. With the Novitec brakes and a bit of practice we could see a certain black F133 in the 3:30 range sometime soon . Thank you sir. It was amazing to see your challenge car being driven around the streets. Your challenge car may be one of the few that needs the new "racing exhaust" perhaps then she can be your daily driver . Now you're making it much more difficult . Christian it was great meeting you the other day! I was impressed by your thirst for knowledge. You have a gorgeous F131evo. It doesn't seem to have the same clutch hiccups that other 05 430s I've been around have. She seems to be a very solid car, and I know she'll only get better once you get some super sports on her. Did you get my PM? Thank you, I really appreciate that. I remember your CS, you clearly love that car and it shows in the way you take care of her. If you ever have any questions about your car or Ferrari in general I'll be happy to answer anything I can. As for deciding between the 430 and the CS, that's like trying to decide between which one of your kids you love more. Its impossible, so I guess I'll have to take you both up on the offer . I will definitely try to make some more frequent appearances. I'm going to try to be down there at the next FOG breakfast/lunch and I'll be happy to answer anyone's questions to the best of my abilities. It was great seeing you guys and I can't wait to do it again. P.S there is going to be a very special presentation in August in Monterrey if anyone wants to know what the new Enzo will look like ahead of time........
