Thanks MP. Btw, you have a PPL? I had mine back in SFC eons ago when my dad was an Instructor there but didn't renew after year 3 or something... Can I still go for renewal or have to go through the whole course again?
in the uk, it's a no brainer ... not sure of the local regs ... prob a lot more throttling ... there a couple of boys with local tickets ... they'll pop up sometime and pipe in ...
Damn... You sure know a lot about these toys When you start a biz there, I'm for hire.. I'm a really good worker
go back up the thread bro ... the question pertains to m'sia ... not spore ... i hv no doubt of the standards here ...
Welcome, your name sounds very familiar. Have we met or were you on some other forums? It's a pity that AR sales don't do well in Singapore & I do like them. Joined the AR gathering a few times & a trip to Malaysia some years back.
Hi guys. Long time no check in! It must have been a heck of a wind to toss the 747 around. No doubt any vessel will always weather cock into wind but for a jumbo which lifts off at around 150kts ... it must have been one hell of a blow job to get that head bobbing around .
Empty weight about 288 tons, bro. Fully laden certified T/O weight is 569tons. Max fuel capacity is around 250 tons but it never gets fully topped up as we can't carry anything useful so only time it gets that sort of fuel is when we take delivery from the factory to fly her home.
Well summised! And little known fact is that we seldom use full power for T/O unless we have a problem with runway length, atmospheric conditions or using anti-ice fluid etc. This is to save the engines from excessive wear and tear. Also reduce the chances of a engine failure on T/O which is when all hell breaks loose and I really work for my money .
Can't remember bro but it was a lot hairier during the light aircraft days when the experience levels were a LOT lower. That said, in the big jets you don't have room to drop a wing on touch down as my wings are bloody big. All I have is 7 degrees of roll and I'll get a wing/engine pod scrape.
I've seen the engine clearance of the A380, and till today I still wonder how you guys manage to do heavy xwind landings without the wing flexing being a problem. I remember watching a documentary once where they showed how much the wings on that behemoth could flex. So I'm guessing you'd just crab all the way in? The wing-low method would obviously be a huge no no in this case right? Hmm, time for me to do some googling!! Currently reading up about EVERYTHING on the 737. Looks pretty daunting, but at the same time I'm bloody eager to get behind the yoke! S&Y in a month's time, sim in August Still nowhere near your level bro, will be taking pointers from time to time.. Dude, if the military could loose an engine and it turned out to be halfway across the world, I think not having parachutes would be the least of your worries!
There is a stupid article today in ST about airbags in taxis. I was hit by a taxi some yrs ago and it was the airbag that save me from injury. I will never consider buying a car without airbags. Taxi co have a responsibility to their drivers to improve road safety and ensure all taxis have airbags. If i were a taxi driver, i will put up a petition to have airbags in all taxis.Taxi companies more interested in their bottom line than the welfare of their taxi drivers. Even though the taxi was ram by the Ferrari at very high speed, the impact was on the passenger side. If the taxi had airbags, perhaps he could have survived.
First it was the 458 and it's the FF http://www.worldcarfans.com/112052844809/ferrari-ff-bursts-into-flames-in-poland
What do you guys think of its collectability? Total production 77 units. With this it's 76. The aluminum body panels are hand beaten on this car, surprisingly for modern production car. Meaning the panels are slightly different sized on every One-77.
agreed. but how many taxis around the world have airbags? take the london black cab for example ... 5 in the back and no airbags ...
