Meh, the guy has an off race and people start criticising. I'm sure the team must have loved it when Grosjean binned the car again. At least Kimi finished the thing and got some points...

I disagree, it's not one race.

Lotus designed a car that has pace this year. THat's obvious as pointed out by Lettuce's quali performance. And then Lettuce can't handle a little traffic. Lettuce is letting them down.

Kimi hasn't been doing much better. Kimi has been doing nothing but *****ing about the steering. At somepoint he has to start spending time at the track, or adapting to the car as is. Neither of which is Kimi's style. Kimi's shenanigans this year smack of Jarno "power steering" Truli last year....

Hold on David. Kimi complained about his steering in one race and in his previous races I think he did quite well and did not complain. Lets get our facts straight here mate.

Bookmarking this page so I don't lose it later when he's on the podium in a few weeks time. I am not a huge fan of his, or of Lotus - but seems I can use Excel better that you.

Hold off, are we all forgetting the terifying difficulty a certain 7 time world champion had trying to get to grips with the new cars and tires?

Kimi might not have out qualified Grosjean, but has certainly out raced and out scored him at every single race, bar the Chinese GP when his tires went off due to strategy and/or testing how far the tires could go. Grosjean had a fantastic year last year in GP2, obliterating the competition and winning the championship with 2 races to spare, despite disqualification from the Spanish GP2 weekend (that's 2 races thrown away).

    Qualifying is only 1 thing.

About the steering issue, Kimi requested it to be changed, knowing how long it would take. He could have tried to do the practise with it, but if you're not happy with your steering, wtf are you supposed to do? Your setup will be wrong, or he could have binned it and most likely miss part 2 of practise also.

Unjustified criticism IMO, and either shows severe dislike for Kimi or a complete lack of understanding about F1. Take your pick.

Regarding the ice cream incident, it's been blown out of proportion. His car had already practically retired after the KERS had failed. Even if the car was able to be repaired in time for the unlikely restart, in situations like this teams get at least 10 minutes notice before the race gets restarted, so plenty of time to put his suit on.

Kimi is doing a great job. He would be close to leading the WDC had his team not let him down strategy wise in China.

I think Lotus fits him. Their car is quick and he seems comfortable.

Give it some time and stagnant results and Eric Boullier will start blaming Kimi for it
