    Hi Guys,

    I have been advised that the 458 Challenge cars are too hard on their tyres which can cause catastrophic tyre failures.

    Is this true??

    I have also be told that by adding areo kits to them that this makes the situation worse.

    Can you please assist as My 458 should be delivered in 4 weeks and I was considering adding the areo kit from ff corse.

    Have you posed the question to Anthony at FF Corse? If not, send him an email or call him.

    There have been a few ball joint studs that have met their demise somewhat prematurely, but no real tire issues, other than unloaded inside front tires showing consistently more wear than originally anticipated.

    Yes and he did respond with the following;

    We have had no problem with tyres on cars fitted with our 458 GT aero kits. The kit is worth 2-3 secs per lap minimum and cars fitted with kits have won in Ferrari Open and GT cup. We have also fitted a lot of kits fitted to track day cars and not experienced any tyre issues. If anything the reverse is true because the tyre is sliding less it does not overheat and is more than engineered capable to withstand the increase in downforce.

    We also never had any problems with tyres on the F430 Challenge cars fitted with GT aero kits and we have done tens if thousands of KM and had a lot of race wins.

    I was just hoping to get some other opinions.

    You need to Email Anthony at FF Corse.

    Interesting.
