It may be collectable due to the numbers but I wished they didn't do that side gash on the nose. Sort of spoils the lines. Much prefer the vents like on the GTO's bonnet.
Bro, you mean like if we bring in classic collectables into SG? Yep, someone has already taken the profit way in advance with no risk. So good call to keep the 365 in UK.
Well. For new hypercars, look @ their prices. We're talking about half to a million Euro easily & most of them will plunge to half price within 5 years except a handful. Then if anyone's to register here or some other parts of Asia, the taxes & insurance are simply overwhelming. For those who can afford it, I'm sure they can afford a ticket to Europe or US where there's endless driving adventure awaits you from Malibu to St Tropez. In fact, the taxes can easily sponsor for 1st class tickets with playboy lifestyle to match. Why suffer 50km/h here with a 6 figures annual insurance premium & 5 figures roadtax? Look @ those Reventons & F50s sitting sad in warehouses Classic cars is a different game. We're chasing prices now & I just missed a 1965 Porsche 356SC few hours ago. Problem is @ the price, I still need to put in another S$20K to do up.
It's not the normal Evora. It's the Evora GTE. Race car for the road. 444bhp on that 1300kg car. And as for the girl, nice.
Talk about classics, there was an article on the XJ220 in Autocar about 2-3 weeks ago. Simply gorgeous car, had a poster of it on my wall together with the 308/512. There was one registered in SG, thought to be the Sultan's car. Saw that he had one in JB sitting amongst his collection but it was a diff colour from the SG car. Now it seems these cars can be had from around 160 quid and with so few produced and the looks to die for, who is to know if that car would turn out to be the next Dino? Maybe you should have a look at it if it turns you on.
My office is located on Orchard Rd, it's the Rolex showroom and it's sandwich by Paragon and Lucky Plaza. During the last big flood, my office car park was flooded. We have been asked by the govt to install a flood barrier. During very heavy rain, this barrier pops up and prevent flood waters from entering the car park. Hope it works or you will see a floating fax machine. In the past whenever i try to exit my car park, i have to drive up and over this metal flood barrier while looking out for pedestrian traffic. As my office is on Orchard Rd, there is an endless stream of pedestrians so getting out of my car park can be a bit complicated. Pedestrians(mostly Sporeans) usually don't give way to me even though in theory, i have right of way. Sometimes as i advance, suddenly some idiot will dash across. After the Ferrari accident, whenever i approach the slope of the car park, everyone stops and give way to me. No one to date has tried to dash across. Suddenly the behavior of these pedestrians have changed completely. Very interesting. My brother confirmed my observation.
Yes! Read that article too & it was something like 3.6mil registered? Either that or it had one of the highest OMV @ that time but never seen one in Singapore roads. It does turn me on, look @ that profile! low, wide, curvy & recent articles seem to put it in quite fast pace still. Wonder how it's like in real life day to day driving. This discussion puts some thoughts about modern-day classic. F40 will be the undisputed candidate & relatively affordable still. Dude, it's 160 quid x 1000 but still can't buy an apartment in London. Haha. Yes, I remembered going there to see a black ML320 many years ago & that flood reminds me about a drowned orange Gallardo. One of our bro's office is there too but he got lucky that day. Sounds like the recent incident did you guys some favour! They should have guards to clear the human traffic for tenants moving in & out. I realised that Orchard & several roads in town area are raised by well over 30cm! Wonder if that helps in water flow, but the lowest place will surely suffer.
Damn took me a while before I realised the real lotus our a-hock is talking about! We have some very creative minds in this thread
a LOT ... it's VERY expensive ... remember, it is ES ... u walk in for the evora ... u will prob walk out with a lambo ........... melvin strikes again ...
Wow. Yes, that's an unusual gulf-blue, first time that I see it on 512BB & wonder if it's factory paint? There was the F308 Pioneer sponsored Group B or C car with this color or was it Stratos?
Well, I must say I've never thought of the Lotus being the other lotus! Just make sure don't get cauliflower Hahaha Speaking of that. Has anyone of you seen Spyker on the road? Was told someone traded in an Lp640 for it sometime back.
Been toying with the idea of modding my GTR for more horsepower...a lot more. Have any of you guys heard of GTRs in Sgp with 800hp or more..while still being drivable on daily basis? Saw this clip.. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4q4GAPSATk&feature=g-vrec[/ame] Dubai factory for 1000hp cars
Yes a few actually! There are a number of daily drivers running around 1200bhp on crank ! I am waiting to either Turn my EVO into a full track car and get the GTR as its an amazing machine PM me and I can share more information on the GTR's that's running that bhp!
