I was cycling to work yesterday morning doing about 40+ and was a hair's breath from being a bloody pulp along lornie road by an smrt bus that attempted to squeeze with me in ONE lane. And you guys should know how narrow those lanes at lornie are. After the bus past me which felt like a freaking whirlwind and me fighting just to keep the bike upright, I cycled like hell and caught up with that a$$ at the mcritchie bus stop. Got on the bus and ****ed the driver good and proper.

Woah! Truly an ex-fighter pilot spirit ^^ so how did he reply?

But bro, did I read right, you're actually working?! Now I'm not a cyclist but you know that road is a magnet for speeding, not safe to cycle that stretch again. I think fitting a rack with your bike on top of your Superleggera is pretty cool though :D

Was he here? To be honest, I would freak out about that video circulating everywhere & if the Tp didn't take notice of it!

It is quite dangerous to cycle in public here, a few of my friends had mild accident & one was killed by a lorry which made the news but even then the authorities here don't do much about cycling like they do in the west. A few bros here are enthusiasts though.

'Actually Working?' I think you've mistaken me for MP dude.... Or maybe yourself, all you do is drive up and down the NS with your garage of cars.

Hmmm... is there a rack that fits an SL :D

But seriously, we need a separate lane for cyclists.. I'm not counting on the authorities to be proactive though. Sometimes I feel that they'll act only when something happens, and usually too late :( The accidents at rochor are fine examples. I just heard on the radio that the lights are being reviewed. Spoke to someone in the motor industry and was told that there were many contributing factors that lead to the accidents there. In fact, several have happened prior to the unfateful one, but not surfaced since no one was injured. Also, heard something about the 'airbags in taxis'. But best discuss these during COTs ;)

And it's not like I was not visible to the motorists. I was a freaking christmas tree with those super bright LEDs strapped to my rear end..

I'm not about to give up cycling though, cos...

    1. between my kids and my kids, I don't have any time to work out
    2. it gets me to where I wanna go in a lot less time than a four-wheeler can get me sometimes
    3. psychologically, it's coe free :D
    4. and lastly... let's call it repentance for all the CO2 my SL blows out :D :D

I met some of these guys in Shanghai. There is a super car club in China. Most members have a fleet of exotics. They have an annual track day in Shanghai as well as a major gala dinner.

Many motorist don't give a F about cyclist. You have to be careful and cycle on more deserted roads. It will take a few more yrs before motorist become more civic and learn to respect others on the road. First world country but not the mentality. That is the sad truth.
