It is the mentality of the drivers here and not generalising the cabbies or bus/lorry drivers but from all walks of life. Lack of consideration for others and that is a problem with society here. Good to know you are ok, maybe got to fit a Martin Baker seat from here on :D.

Uncle, I'm still working in office now with no dinner. I work 15hrs, 6 days week you know & takes 5hr buses between KL & Sgp rather than driving.

I think a rack can be customed for sure as those suction pads are now very strong.

When I heard about the 2nd accident, it reminded me of the cab that bizarrely crashed into a pub along Geylang rd, killing a Vietnamese gal, 2 weeks later, another car crashed into the exact spot. The shop is now for sale.

One of my mundane duty was driving the army truck & fellow truckers in daily life told me that when they see a near miss, 1st thing they do is crash & crush over it

Cyclist are like ants to class 4 & above holders cos we can't see anything near from bird's eye view.

    1) Best to hit the gym bro. God was watching over you earlier!
    2) Get a bike license so you can move faster & park virtually anywhere though not necessarily safer
    3) Talk cock but agree :D
    4) Think it helms from the day you were burning jet fuel over Earth!

It all starts from young. Civic mind is evidently lacking here because even cyclist often take down pedestrians.

I think I have a ZTH account, haven't logged in for quite sometime though. Are you on LYN? Then you might have seen me there :p
And yes, from the side of the bridge where horses and bulls are allowed to "breathe"..

As long as transmission is reinforced. That's the weak spot. Everything else on that bloody car is bullet proof.

Tuck, good to hear that you are safe and sound!
Sometimes it safer to ride on the walkways! Just that you might get sweared by some people walking ! Ride safe mate :)
I would have also lost my cool! With what the bus driver did.

I always ride on the walkways but be considerate to the pedestrians and give them right of way. But can you believe it when I tell you that some pedestrians block your path on purpose when they see you coming though you keep to 1 side? Talk about the lack of graciousness but that said, it does not happen often. All about give and take but there again, this is one place where neighbours don't even hold the lift for one and other so what do you expect?

Problem mate is when we ride road/race bikes we typically reach average speeds of 40kmh and no way we can do that on walkways...

Unlike Porsche with no aftermarket expertise by comparison, many MAF upgrades to be used and are straight bolt in- this is the least important area on stand alone. As said, the weakest link is the gearbox. Engine case, crank, turbos, inter coolers, injectors, blow off valves, pistons, piston heads, etc all covered and can be made utterly bullet proof. There's a reason why the GTR is the most modifiable car on the planet with huge reliability.

I spent close to 100k (75k parts, balance labour) on the protomotive pe700, find it still wasn't bolt in and took some time to sort before it worked reliably. My GTR got to 680bhp on 15k in total cost and in the hands of current owner has done 13 track days and zero failure... Except second gear selector... That damn gearbox....

    Read yr PM. Thanks!

With moderate mods, car will still be very drivable. Stock car is 479hp for most 2008 2009 models. Can easily push out 20% more power

Have read that once you have 1000hp the laws of physics dont apply when you hit corners and sweeps..haha..
But seriously, I think the straight line acceleration is the goal. Think Veyron

Yeah. Stock exos is quiet. It is quite distinctive though when its thoroughly burned in. Understandable that the GTR engineers made it to suit Jepun cities

30k to reinforce transmisson!? Serious money. I recently did a Cobb TCM software upgrade for my 2008 GTR tranny. To 2012 specs. Big improvement. Low speed shifting much improved. And full on acceleration shifting is super quick with minimal jerking. Also did a simple Cobb stage 1 upgrade. Just spec the system for 96 fuel and slight increase in turbo boost for 50hp increase. Can feel the extra power easily. I have heard that the HKS 650hp kit is very reliable but expensive cost. More than that, for sure the transmission has to be reinforced for sure.
Are the OEM brembos enough for big hp upgrades?
Recent local mag did a 2012/13 GTR feature. Price with Coe was $460k I think.

What mods did you do to get 680hp for $15k ? My transmission failed at 11000km . But after new software loaded, and sensor sorted out, has been completely reliable with hard use.

wonder how the market is reacting to the near 500k price of the new gtr's ...
