To date, I don't think any lambo can top the GTO. Not even LP670. Heard both downshift, the SV sounds nothing like the GTO. Unless you're finding for a daily drive Lambo, then it's different.

While the latest move by LTA will stop the COE from getting to $100K, it's only a scotch tape solution. The whole scheme needs to be looked at. Taxi operators should not bid within the current quota. Taxis suppose to be public transport. Open cat also need review beyond what's recommended today. We have lots of migrants in the last 2 yrs. These guys are buying cars as well.If you increase population and don't increase COE supply, COE prices will be very high. Surely, more must be done to improve roads and more COE made available. Finally govt starts to take note that inflation is high due to COE and core inflation is much lower. Car ownership should not be confined to the rich. That is the case now as the top 2 selling brands are BMW and Mercedes. Singapore is the only country in the world where the top selling car is a BMW 5 series with a price of around $250K. That is A LOT of money. COE rise in price is purely economics, cut supply and price goes up. Any freshman in biz school will know that. Our govt must learn to admit to their mistakes. That is one good step to win back confidence and support.

Agree! That being said, I have no clue of the cars price in Singapore. But if you compare 1:1 between Malaysia and Singapore (no exchange rate), Malaysia BMW 5 series is selling at $500K, which is twice the price in Singapore. Yes/no?
Dont know the latest price of a BMW 5 series as it moves with the price of COE, but i think it should be around Sin$250K. Can you imagine, top selling car by volume is a quarter million car? Something is very wrong.
Can I vote you in for transport minister? I don't think they have realised that with the extra 2 million imports, they need to adjust everything as they are still looking @ cutting back. Just loosening the tap now & it won't solve the problem! They should give incentives to people like me, buy & keep cars off the roads
Dailou, the recent top ten single digit nos in WWW bidding alone should net several millions in ringgit & there are thousands of successful bidders so it means a lot of Malaysians are cash rich. Oh I just saw a roadshow for BMW in KL, 528 sportpackage is Rm400K+ while the 520 is about 50K cheaper. There's actually little difference on price for hi-end cars between Malaysia & Sgp due to your taxes & exchange rate. In fact, some can say that it's actually "cheaper" to buy Sgp cars because you get a 50% refund on the OMV when you export it by 10th year.
