Has anyone mentioned the white Miura that appears briefly in the original "Gone in 60 Seconds" film? (1974)

Its visible for about about 2 seconds during a warehouse scene. My copy is VHS so I can't capture an image.

Edit - Writer/Director/Star HB Halicki had a large classic and exotic car collection and it was likely one of his own vehicles?

Love the auction video, thanks for posting.

The car looks a million dollars in that clip

I don't which one it is, but I know it's not 1021. I looked into whether or not this car was 1021, which was painted white at some point in its life and was in LA during that period, but it was quickly apparent it was not.

Now that would have been a fun coincidence!

Halicki's collection was broken up in the early 90's after his death - ironically he died in a freak accident while filming the sequel. So assuming it was his own car and not borrowed for the film, maybe it was on the market around that time?

He is credited as having owned numerous Ferraris over the years as well.

No. They are there right now, but don't be surprised if they are pulled. We know there are people out there hanging on every posted F-Chat word ;)

"A Lamborghini Miura S bought by the model Twiggy – real name Lesley Lawson – will go under the hammer at Motorclassica, in Melbourne, Australia.

The Daily Express newspaper’s ‘face of 66’ acquired the car in 1969 and had it resprayed from white to its current lime-green with red-and-white-stripes finish.

The right-hand-drive car has been with its current owner since 1978 and this will be the first time it’s been offered to the public.

Now in its third year, RACV Motorclassica is held from 26-28 October and will feature special tributes to Sir Jack Brabham, the 60th Anniversary of Lotus and the 100th anniversary of the Victorian Motorshow.

Event director Paul Mathers said: “We are incredibly pleased to have this beautiful car consigned to our Collector Car Auction. This important vehicle has real international appeal and is of a calibre that epitomises what Motorclassica is all about.”
