Well, Mr. Arbiter Of Truth, the production run of the One-77 is indeed sold out. The last one was sold some time ago. But, hey, all that matters is what you believe, right?

Don't know why you guys hate on this car... I saw the related National Geographic show, and the details are just amazing - on par with Veyrons and Zondas... A true hypercar.

I really want to hear one (and see one) in person, the clips on YouTube are unbelievable.

PS. I also thinks it looks great. Not prettier than the DBS, but it's very cool in its own way.

I have sources at AM. Not one of them has ever mentioned this, and we have talked about the One-77 quite a bit. They may be discreet, but these kind of tidbits help a company and they would be sure to leak it. That has not happened.

They may be sold out now, but weren't at the end of the production run. For ten extra to be produced, they would have needed to be sold out then. Or you wouldn't need to produce the extra, right?

As you say, it's what we choose to believe. I like to believe substantiated facts.

Mainly, it's the AM's looks. I don't like the gills and the bulging rear wheel arches. Everything seems a little over the top, and it's yet another derivative of their basic AMV8/DB/Rapide shape, not something completely original. It's a gorgeous starting point, to be sure, but how about something new that's equally good looking?

When AM branch out, all they seem to come up with is the Cygnet (vomit). You can't argue with the performance, which is staggering, but at a million dollars plus, it better be.

I think the Zonda is far more appealing as an overall hypercar package with its carbonfibre body with the panels all matched up for the weave patterns. The Veyron just seems to get the job done with Germanic efficiency (though it's somewhat French) and is technologically in another world.

IIRC, the price was 1.5M Euros so that would be $2M price tag in a humanly taxed country. In China..i have heard you have 200% taxes (Not sure how true it is). So it would still be cheaper than the $7M quoted but then journalists love to exaggerate numbers.

I agree, but there is the 1% doubt that someone actually specified an interior filled with ostrich-leather and mink fur and lined with gold that actually did raise the price to that. You never know...but yeah, I am 99% inclined to believe it was BS.

Really, who are your sources at Aston Martin? What did they tell you? That you're a super special, supercar-insider and you'll be the first to know everything?

First, Aston Martin sold the last of the 77 units in April. Pick any one of these stories and read it:

    http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/aston-one-77-60-77-sold
    http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1072755_only-one-aston-martin-one-77-left

    http://www.gtspirit.com/2012/04/28/aston-martin-one-77-sold-out/

Second, production is not finished. Why do you make this stuff up?

    Quit your BS, please.

Lol, do you even read what you post? Only one of the links said all of them are sold, and even that said all of the PRE-BUILT units are sold, not the entire production run.

None of them said anything about it still being in production but I will take your word for it. It's not something I have kept up with. Frankly, I thought they were done making them all, but if you say they aren't, fine. It's not something I care about all that much, to be honest, and I have never asked my friends at AM about the production run details. Similarly, if they are all sold out now, fine. I am happy they are. I was not aware they were, nor is it something I have asked about. The car is interesting, though I don't like the looks. However it's production run details are of no interest to me whatsoever.

None of them has ever said anything about someone ordering ten of them. The rumour about an Arab prince ordering x number of them did the rounds with a number of supercars--from the F50GT to the TVR Speed12 to this car. It's BS.

I don't consider myself special, and no, I won't be telling you my sources. Either at AM, or at Rolls Royce, or at McLaren. No need to get your panties in a wad about this, but if you do, should I care?

What credentials are those? The quality of his information wildly differs from the truth.
