Probably a wrap - not actual paint

Looks too shiny to be a wrap, at least to me... ?

Wraps come in many variations from matte to high gloss

I think it was a wrap that was then spray painted over.

    No, it´s real paint.
This is the same car in 1986, registered B-K 9411 (Berlin)

The car is still with its first owner who also owns a BMW M1.

First time driving my CT and filling the tank, someone asked if it was real. Can't even imagine people would even question this one......don't even bother asking, it's a replic, even though it's not.

When they ask me that question I respond with "what, you living in 1990?" I then chuckle and say "no".
Once I said "yes....it's a aluminium replica of the prototype Countach, it'd made by Lamborghini and called a Gandini Dallara made in the late 70's." At that point they are completely lost, they don't know what the eff I just said.

The registration is etched in every window: B-K 9411
Unfortunately, the VIN is unknown to me.
But I have seen the car multiple times since the summer of 1986 and it´s said to be still with its first owner since 1986.
The car is actually in very poor shape.
Kilometer counter had been stuck at 65.000km for years even though it´s been driven.

BTW, I noticed this CT does not have the flag mirror.
How is this mirror style called?

Yes, when watching the video I found that interesting ,too the guy was still doing that after all these years.
In 1986 though we were stuck in traffic and it was a hot day.
So the driver would let the traffic ahead go and then close the gap by accelerating hard for a 1/4 mile or so while chewing pistachios.
I will never forget this day as it was the first Countach I ever saw on a public road.

In the early 90´s this very car appeared in the German AutoBild magazine on page 2 as "photo of the week" with the slim spare wheel on the rear left.
