I have had 3 X1/9's. I love them as well. I have actually been toying with the idea of hunting another one down to restore it. They are really fun little cars.

Thanks for the info but if I decide to get another x/19, I will be going for a stock restoration for street use. Thanks though! ;)

You have my dream garage right there.. when I get a bit older I plan to collect a testarossa, 930 turbo, countach, guigaro lotus esprit just like the game Test Drive I played when I was 10.

do you drive them all often? how have they been maintenance wise?

One car gets driven once a week if the weather is right. Fortunately I own a repair shop and turn the wrench's myself and only have to pay the big $$$ for parts. Maintenance wise the 930 is hands down the best!!! Next is the TR and even though I get far the most attention in the Countach, hate to say, out of all the cars I have worked on in my life (which is alot) the Countach is a piece of junk. I call it an Italian kit car...but a very cool one

"... A collector is also behind the massive multistory garage tucked inside the gated entrance of the Sierra Star compound in Lake Tahoe’s Incline Village. Tom Gonzales, the cofounder of software company Commerce One, spent nearly five years renovating his lakefront estate, which includes a subterranean “collector’s garage” that houses his 1,000 autos and motorcycles. Tucked below a 2,500-square-foot guest house, the bilevel garage sprawls over an astounding 12,000 square feet and cost roughly $6 million to construct. It has an oversize hydraulic lift--technically, an aircraft transporter--capable of carting an RV or three cars to the surface. Gonzales has estimated it costs $25 in electricity bills each time it’s operated..."

    Edit...

^ He isn't a bike collector. He just hoards them. Thank God he isn't in to supercars... That would be a waste... Just my opinion.
