Trouble with DHL

    An ebayer in Germany shipped a model to me via DHL, but the DHL site does not recognize the tracking number. (The seller can't get the site to recognize the number, either.) I've had this happen at least twice before. Has anyone else had this problem?

    In some cases the tracking numbers only show up after quite a while, up to a few days. More than once I had the product I ordered in my hands before the system recognized the number. I wouldn't worry too much about that!

    Never mind the tracking, you had better hope the item does not arrive broken into multiple pieces... I have had more bad experiences with DHL than with all other shippers combined. To add insult to injury, when something does go wrong their customer service is abysmal. From what I can tell, those involved in DHL's US-based operations truly could not care less.

    I have had this happen with an item I ordered from Amazon.fr a few months back. The tracking info never worked and despite several calls nobody ever knew exactly where it was. It showed up on my doorstep about three weeks after I ordered so don't worry too much about that.
