Also a nice picture of a Maserati 200S :), which Ulf Norinder drove in the race. But, is it Joakim Bonnier who is sitting in the car?

No, thats not Bonnier sitting in the car. Its Norinder. But the VIN of this 200S is somewhat a mystery as its is not clear if it this car was based on a 150S that Bonnier crashed at the Nuerburgring in `55 and was later converted to 200S-specs or if it was a 200S from the beginning and used by Bonnier in several races and later given to Norinder.

Thanks for the info Walter. Is this 200S (Norinder's) the same one that Bonnier won that race with the year before (i.e. in 1957)?

The Finnish GP in Helsinki in 1957; same track around a park in Helsinki... Won by Bonnier in a 200S.

Yes, it could be possible that this was the Norinder-200S. Confirmed is, that Bonnier imported the car to Sweden. Unclear is the chassis-provenance and if he sold or loaned the car to Norinder.

The Bonnier/Norinder-file in my archive became thick over the last 5 years with many photos but nothing that could clearify the circumstances with this car(s).

Well, the thing that's so exceptional about F-Chat is that not only do I anticipate a rapid identification of that car, but I also fully expect detailed provenance on the little dog in the pic as well (especially if he ever peed on a Borrani).

Its a Maserati 300S, most likely chassis #3052, fitted with a V8-engine. Do you have the date, result and name of the driver?
