I definitely want to upgrade now!

However, i want to get some more info on flash storage.. 512mb of storage just doesn't seem to be enough for me.

Well, it's actually configurable with up to 768 GB of flash storage. As in gigabytes.

And mods will undoubtedly be available soon that will allow you to add a terabyte or more to your machine.

    Where's my 13", Apple?

I'm questioning the brilliancy of the screen on this thing. Yes, I'm sure photos will look incredible, but what about websites? It's 2x the resolution of the avg computer screen crammed into 15", I feel like everything is going to be really small. Plus full HD videos won't look too great. I hate to question Apple because I'm sure they worked something out, but for me it just doesn't seem like it will be very practical.

Your fears are unfounded. If they have twice as many pixels in a location, it doesn't mean the picture will be half as big. No need to think things will be half as big. They will be the same as before, but more crisp and clear, hopefully.

We are spoiled for price these days. Used to be, one couldn't walk out of a computer store without doshing out $2500 for anything decent and mobile.

I want one so bad, but I can't spend 3 grand right now when my mac air is working perfectly fine. If you haven't already I suggest upgrading to something with flash.

It is stunning in person. I ordered one online but wont ship until later in this month.

Went and checked them out in person and the displays are insane. The iphone retina and ipad retina looked good... but its just no comparison to a retina machine with a full OS. Everything is stunning.

Now I play the waiting game.

since they don't have a disk drive I'm not sure if they that open space required to mount a 2nd HDD/SDD but that solves the issues of 'not enough storage'.
