This beats the heck out of Harry's, I think. Still lacks what the pro systems can do.

Have you tried trackmaster (Android) at all? Allows video recording with overlay and lap comparisons, setup tracking etc. I'll check this one out at some point.

Problem for me I have fat fingers on my phone. I can't even use the thing reliably with gloves off! I like my stupid simple Aim Solo. With that I only have to turn it on. Aim does the rest.

Not sure yet. One of the larger American distributors is a friend of mine who is local. Marty Howard of MH Motorsports has really been a good advocate for this system (he sells the hardware) and has demoed it for me, but so much of what I'm looking for is in the more expensive, more accurate and more reliable systems.

RaceChrono, HLT and others all came about when the least expensive GPS loggers were the Traqmate Basic at $700 USD and the Race Technology DL-1 (was $1085 USD, now $850 USD), and demand was driven by those who wanted information not necessarily for comparison, but to gauge their own progress. The QStarZ was in the middle somewhere.

Now, with the AiM Solo for $399 USD, drivers get very, very accurate and dependable track mapping and accelerometer data (two important parameters that require external GPS antennas for HLT and very careful placement of RaceChrono) for about the same price as the hardware and accessories, that comes with the historically powerful and professional grade FREE software (same as RaceChrono) in Race Studio 2.

So many of the people that I work with are looking for something that combines the pro grade software (AiM or MoTeC) with inexpensive hardware and now that exists in the Solo, so I have not pursued the RaceChrono or looked more deeply at it's function.

Sorry I don't have more information specific to the RC software and hardware, but these are my observations.
