Excellent. Would love to see you back. Trying to figure out dates for the 2013 race so that we can see if we can make logistics work to go again, but not having much luck.
Fingers very much crossed! Seems to me the just announced 2014 regulations were almost written for you!.... At last a simple fuel limit and off you go. As noted in the other thread, you've got a pretty good head start and she won't have to breath thru a damn straw any longer either! Maybe Luca will come knocking after all Forza SCG! Cheers, Ian
P 4/5 Competizione M (KERS) already meets those fuel efficiency standards. Perhaps someone will sponsor us to build a 2014 Ferrari Powered P 4/5 C LMP1. http://api.viglink.com/api/click?format=go&drKey=1140&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ferrarichat.com%2Fforum%2Fshowthread.php%3Fp%3D141531496%26posted%3D1%23post141531496&v=1&libid=1339953267008&out=http%3A%2F%2Fauto-racing.speedtv.com%2Farticle%2Fle-mans-2014-lmp1-regulations-announced%2F&ref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ferrarichat.com%2Fforum%2Fnewreply.php%3Fdo%3Dpostreply%26t%3D372238&title=!%20BREAKING%20NEWS%20!%20LE%20MANS%3A2014%20LMP1%20Regulations%20Announced%20!%20-%20FerrariChat.com&txt=http%3A%2F%2Fauto-racing.speedtv.com%2Fartic...ons-announced%2F&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13399533169662
*Awesome!* - I was thinking/hoping that were the case....... Hopefully!...... You're now a "proven entity" rather than the (usual! ) "privateer dreamer"! Success at the 'Ring surely suggests that Le Mans would be a relative walk in the park and outright success (with your experience) is a possibility. As I said somewhere else, with the exception of Audi (?) it seems you're ahead of even the manufacturers at this point - Surely a "green focussed" energy company could be corralled?..... Anyone?..... I also noticed that KERS is going to be multi standard - From 2 to 8 MJ is a lot more than previously allowed, correct? Mind me asking what your current KERS can manage? As always, good luck, Cheers, Ian
Storage is the only issue. That's why Audi used a flywheel system and Toyota used Super Capacitors. Our designers and engineers could do it and I think we could even make an LMP 1 look/feel like P 4/5 Competizione but it would take SERIOUS Sponsorship.
Why not buy up half a dozen low mileage Scuderia models and replicate the P 4/5 Competizione concept for a street version model. Charge 5 million each and you would have a nice war chest with which to go racing. Full cost paid in advance and the project models are only started if the target total are sold, so no risk. It would be a great 'make work' project to keep everyone sharp. CH
We're trying to compress it to host but it's 3.97 GB. When I get it on a disk I'll see what I can do.
It took a while for me to talk to him as there was a crowd of Pit Babes rubbing lotion on his hand but when I finally reached him he assured me he was fine and continued through the race.
Well, this changes things a bit... obviously I shall have to try harder to make it to the next event and stand close to sources of spontaneous combustion. All the best, Andrew.
