What an outrageous photograph!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How could that woman drive the car with those shoes on? Makes you wonder what she was thinking of!
Great pictures Joe BUT I know one day you are going to surprise me with a photo(s) of my car that were hidden in your vault. I know this because my car spent maybe more than a half dozen years in your backyard, Beverly Hills.
Wow you guys are hard core. I had some other ideas about that photo that had nothing to do with the Countach!
Your 1006 has remained nicely intact, when compared to the bastardization that has occurred to the very next chassis number... I will tell you a story about your car's Beverly Hills owner - sometime after the 1979 Revolution, he accompanied Trefor Thomas on a trip back to Iran. Trefor returned, but unfortunately your car's owner was detained there & suffered an untimely demise at the hands of the new regime since he was viewed as being a Shah sympathizer. Sad story, but true. As is always said, the Countach is the most photographed car in the world, so of course images exist of the car from new. You just have to find them! There may even be some of it in my archives taken by Pete Coltrin in early 1978, but uncovering them will take not inconsiderable time & effort!
Joe, I heard that story but I have been in contact with the guy, Majid Panahpour. Unless it was an imposter. The reason I got a hold of him was because a woman he briefly dated in 79, when the car arrived from Switzerland (where he kept it for the first year). recently, she was searching on him (woman really like searching for ex's!)). She came across the car, recognized it, contacted Wil & Sandy Degroot. They gave me her phone number, North Carolina. That's when she stated he was not dead. With her help I contacted him via email. We exchanged several times. Now, 3 days ago, he sent me a Link-in invite.
Wow, Trefor swore he was dearly departed. But the real question is why is a woman he dated 33 years ago stalking, I mean, looking for him?

Perhaps i can explain the photo: The CT has very poor ventilation and air con. In particular the early model which the young lady was stepping into. The photo then tells us that the young lady has taken this advice, perhaps to extremes. She is carrying a cloth as we all do, to wipe the windows. What was immediately wrong with the photo was she could never drive the car with those shoes on. When I was younger I found Farah Facett-Majors very attractive. I went to see the Canonball Run with a male friend. He couldn't understand why I was making strange noises every time I saw and heard the CT and not FF-M! I suppose my fate was sealed at that time! Can't get onto a racing circuit without them! Problem is wearing one and getting comfortable. Was out on Knockhill Circuit in Scotland today as part of Scottish Motor Show supercar display. Was very wet and they have reversed the direction of the track, so took it easy! Still fun to extend the car to max revs in lower gears and drive it in a way you would go to prison for if you did it on a public road!
How about that right-rear wheel? That baby has to be scrapping inside the wheel arch for sure! That is pretty compressed back there!
Had mine hit the bump stops but only after having been airborn over small bridges! With double damper/springs at the back they are pretty tough
Indeed. It appears that when pushed thru a corner a Countach's suspension will compress significantly. But how often are they pushed? Image Unavailable, Please Login
These is one of the nicest colors on a Countach. The color is in my top 3 and I usually am not crazy about that color on other cars. Too bad non factory though. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NJbjOUJrSE[/ame]
1 of 37?? Interesting paint, interesting interior, interesting presentation. Seller seems to be busy with all-manner of interesting Countachs. http://www.tonyrienzi.com/inventory.html The "1981 LP400s S2 Nero/Panna" looks awful familiar doesn't it??
