Ha, i spoke to them about taking it over a few years ago, but i can only drive it a few weeks a year and i have to give them notice before taking it out! and i didn't want her sitting about.
However, she is sitting about in the UK, so figured why not have her sitting about here!!!

I hope Jon manages to bring his over as well!

Cheers - thanks for all the kind comments.

Nice, Jon. You can have a chat with my dad on E-types, he's probably a walking dictionary on these cars, last of his kind. The range of pricing from S1 to S3, coupes to convertible is extremely wide. You don't intend to bring it back here do you? You'll need to tropicalise the radiator to prevent the ever famous overheating. Speak to my dad if need be.

S1 is seriously pretty but it looks very small and narrow. The skinny tires and lack of width made it treacherous in the wet or so I hear. What is the pricing on S1 3.8 drop top these days?

For that price she is paying, she could get 7 of us dudes to work part time!

Tim, at the rate you go, you should just chop the top off that car to keep the excitement. I do think the testa looks really good as a drop top esp with that wide flat rear end and no buttress roots.

Love the condition that your E-Type is in! Why not bring the cars and keep them in Malaysia instead? The taxation here makes your blood boil as you know you are just getting ripped off for driving in this little, heavily speed camera-ed island for only 28 days per year. If not for M'sia, I wouldn't even own these cars for fear of getting thrown into the slammer. Local driving is far from fun these days.

That's great. The S3 runs on carbs but there's at least one company offering EFI. Anyway, the original works fine & easily tuned to low 300hp. At least I got a manual trans. I wonder how am I going to fit an aircon to her, haven't checked on it yet. There's too many specialists for E types in UK so will see how it goes.

S1 3.8, flat floor, have never seen anything under £60k of late. A full restooration on these are min £80K so go figure & most are done up cars with owners cashing out. I was also toying the idea of XK120/140 which are not too far away but I'm concerned if I can handle them.

Almost pulled the trigger on S2 4.2 but the pictures betrayed some cheap overspray paint & you wonder what lurks further. So, took the safer route with a top condition S3.

Even I'm wondering if I should bring into Malaysia or Singapore since I have a home there but you definitely feel safer driving an open top here. Unless in the smaller towns of Malaysia.

That's a bit too much IMHO especially when coe is an average $80K.

Beautiful mate. Absolutely seductive cabin, I have weak spot for red cabin :) also thinking of swapping for an earlier wooden wheel like yours too.

Btw, how does she drive & what makes you love the E type so much? I've never driven one :p

Hey, IIRC you just tear the coupons now. Some guys share while some don't even bother to tear :D but once you cross the border, you can drive it "all night long" Lionel Ritchie comes to mind ^^

I would like to bring her over after some tours with it in Europe & get some upgrades too while it's there too. Afterall, it'll depreciate due to ownership which makes billing cheaper :)

C'mon Tim. With your fleet of cars, wonder how you even manage to find the keys!

I vote for matt black wheels to go with the all black look. Black out the rear lenses too!

Looks like the mega yacht rental business is taking some heat from the Euro mess. These yachts must be one of the most expensive vacation options.

    Pure One
In what may be the deal of the summer, Pure One is offering a third off of its charter rate of $227,000 a week. The 152-foot boat can race to 30 knots and has a jaw-dropping flybridge with double sunbeds, twin dining banquettes and sofas. In port, you can splash all day in the vessel's glass-edged pool, and spend evenings hanging out in the media room.
