I've been thinking of upgrading my wheels and came across these ones. http://www.ebay.com/itm/19-FERRARI-360-STRADALE-F430-GOLD-CHALLENGE-WHEELS-RIMS-430-OEM-/120762242635?hash=item1c1dfd964b&item=120762242635&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr#ht_7176wt_1244 Have anybody seen a set of these ones fitted on a F355? I would probably go for gold since I'm thinking of vinyl my car black. What do you guys think?
My personal preferance is to stick with the 18s. Try putting 19s and you will see that the design of the car and its overall size was not made for 19 inch wheels. They do pop really bad on a small 355.
Offset is wrong. They won't look right and will likely rub the rear fenders since the rears will stick out too much.
General rule is 15mm needs to be milled off the rear wheels to change the offset. I believe you would need to buy all new (longer) lugs to mount them as well. I agree that 19's are to big for the 355. I would only go with the true challenge 360 wheels of the same design that are 18".
I'm confused. I thought the wheel I meant to fit on my car was the 360 Challenge wheel and only came in 19"? Is there a 18" size as well?
The 18" challenge wheels are for track only. They are not meant for street use. I have seen the 360 starfish wheels on a 355 and they looked pretty nice...
I think it has to do with the fact that they are very light soft alloy wheels and cannot withstand street use. I remember reading that they were homologated for race use only.
