Holy cow !
I have seen two 355's conversions that were just a mess. I have seen a 360 CS TWIN TURBO that was junk. The main problem is the heat. It's a lot of work to get these turbocharged cars right. This one looked the best I have seen. I was curious about the heat it produced on the road. I am going down the road of NA. The little 355 engine can produce up to 600 hp NA, but it is a lot of machine time and a lot of $. Is it worth it?
I'd think you'd be turning 12-13k rpms to get that power out of it...I, for one, would much rather that than the turbos...
Ernie, did you see how he set up the 355 shift linkage in the 348 chassis? ...did they cut the frame through, or rig a different setup?
I asked about that, and yes you do have to drill a hole through the cross member. But the 355 has the same hole.
Seriously, this thread should be deleted and Ernie given a 1 week ban for causing untold anguish and sleepless nights for countless 348 owners around the world.
Gauges are From a Japanese company x line. The bezels are factory 348. It has a machined housing to mate the two together when turned on they light up orange like the factory. Looks like shift rods for the 355 gear box to me. That is such an outrageous car, it is a real treat to see it around town from time to time.
That is retarded...it has to go in Forza. Has anyone contacted them? This is the ultimate Ferrari in my minds eye. What was done to that yttihs gearbox, the one many of us have had problems with? Will it take all that power? Ernie-will a stock gearbox hold up to that torque?
