    I use to like having a go at them in the F1 section but other things have been dominating my time.

    I was giving them grief about guns in the early 90s and some of the morons even threatened to come to Oz to clear "my thinking up" :rolleyes:

    Such a tough crowd with a gun in their hand, come to think of it , can we now get Charlton Heston's gun "from his dead, cold hands" :p

    So, since everyone's so interested, a friend of mine *yes!!* asked about the battery life in a Prius and the cost to change, so I rang the dealer and got this....

    "Toyota called me – they checked and they said you CANT actually replace individual cells (yet), but a new battery (trade price) is $2800 …plus 1 – 1.5hrs to fit (about $150). The guy I spoke to said he’s been working at the dealership for more than 9 years and they’ve never had to replace a battery. He also confirmed the warranty on the battery is 8 years / 160K kms."

    I did it! Bought a manual silver 86 GTS, it looks so much better in person very exotic! 8 month wait :( First car for me :)

    Reminds me of my mother when we first started to attend Ferrari club stuff. She was seated next to someone who told her he had a 308 GTS and she thought he had a Monaro! :)

    Anyone hear any more about the 1973 Porsche recovered the other week from Lake Burly Griffin? Cops reckon its been there since 84

    Keys were in it and a cinder block wedged against the go pedal.....hmmmm...not deliberate then!!
