lol How on earth do you get all these pics of the CT's? That is at least the second one you have posted of my car, which I have not seen! That was taken at Knockhill racing circuit possibly two years ago. Paul
www.kiengineering.com Ist thing comes to mind is how the real deal may have been alot cheaper to just purchase? Gary espada 8394
I figured as much, it was recently posted on a sit called Flickr which I belong to and I thought: "I know that car!"
He has done the same thing to me in the past. Sometimes just hours / days after I had the car out. It is a strange feeling at first until you learn how he does it. Cheers Jim
Peter: "2)87 5000qv(fi) 1200miles does $200.000 asap!" that must be a typo!!! or it sold for $200 and 000 1000/cent. no one will convince me that a 87 injected, even being the 1200 mile, that probably was being sold by MMC and we saw at Marios reunion, fetched $200K!!! Surely some offshore guy with fast money must have bought it.
No, a collector bought it, heading to a museum in Denmark, I'll post pic when I get them. He liked the miles and we sent him the euro bumpers...Cheers -TR
Denmark... humm... Is it where car cost like $300K there? that would explain. That was the car from NY right? I recall the guy would trail it anywhere because he was afraid to put mileage on it. Low mileage can be a curse sometimes. A museum is probably the best place for that particular car. Actually I wonder what is the lowest mileage recorded on a Countach non anniversary over the past couple of years. If i recall there was another 800-900 miles. I am sure someone has got a brand new Countach tucked away with 10 miles on it.. Please come out !
Tony, was this Joe's red 25th CT? I saw most of his collection including Miura, and others when he was closing up shop. I bought a lot of parts from his shelves. Great guy.
David, I think both you and I bought a lot parts from Joe when he closed up shop. Remember "MiamiMellisa"? I think she was the person selling all the parts on eBay for Joe. I bought SOOOOO many spare parts for my Jalpa, I could have opened my own parts store! LOL!! Mile
Linda Killen, she was managing the sale under the name MiamiMelissa, later they used also another ID.
Any one have a pic of the base of a 88.5 QV windshield wiper, just want to check i have connected the secondary arm bracket up the right way, im sure it doesn't matter just OCD kicking in. Thanks
From what I understand, after the factory test driver had finished with the car it would show about 135km and most wrere delivered that way. So a a brand new Countach will show this mileage. I know of 2 Annivesarios with this mileage, one is Bianco Perlato/Blu with white piping.
About the lowest mileage Countach I've seen is this '87 5000QV with about 3800 miles on it (6200 km). Mike Image Unavailable, Please Login
Mike, Peter, Yes that was her, him. Not sure if you ever made it into Long Island City (part of NYC) to Joe's shop. He had a huge supply of everything, including an amazing amount of LM 002 stuff. He was there walking around and I asked the woman showing me around if I could talk to him. We starting talking and he started showing me cars and parts even he had forgotten about. A really good time. Mike, do you still have Jalpa stuff? If you are looking to sell anything PM me. Thanks. David (I just got back from a 2,400 mile weekend road trip from Jersey, to Clovis, NM to Denver, CO)... what a weekend.
Sorry Dave, I sold everything that I had shortly after I sold the car. I just wish I had enough foresight (and common sense) to have bought all of their Countach stuff as well (knowing that I would eventually own one!!! LOL!!!) Mike
Mike, I hear you. I debated whether I should stock pile parts for a CT. I still do not have mine yet, but one day soon rather than later it wil happen.
