Some random pictures from a BMW gathering I attended yesterday. It's called E30Meet, but this year it was open to all BMW's because there was going to be a trackday involved (which I didn't attend) - I suspect the rent of a F1 qualified race track (Rudskogen Motorsenter) was quite high so they needed all the money they could pull in...
We even had four Danish cars on visit :) My car is the gray E28 in the background of the 2nd pictures red E28.

Back in the day I used to be crazy for that old rally-look!

I know Zender did a set and OZ too. They were super rare back then already!

These look larger though... maybe 17" or 18"

I see Compomotive makes their old style wheel in 18"... http://www.comp.co.uk/wheels/wheels.asp?section=ttd-90-17 and there are these in a 17" http://esmwheels.com/access/wheels-001sl-p-131.html?cPath=21_69_72

What I'd really like is something similar to the old Pontiac Turbo wheels, but in a 17" or 18".

    Shiny Side Up!

I knew that they are M5 wheels but could not remember which model so I called one of our local dealers and was told they were offered on the E34 M5 and refered to as the BMW M-Style II and offered in a 5 spoke design or in 'turbine style' which is the design in the pic.

    Hope that helps.

Your right, I had trouble finding a pic of the actual stock wheel.

I finally found a video I have not seen in years, this is one "Bad Mother Trucker" of an M5, smoking the tires at what has to be well over 100+mph.

That's a car built my the Norwegian tuning specialist V.S. Motor. That guy know turbocharged BMW engines like no other... If I ever upgrade my underkill 518i to an M535i, that's the guy I'll be wiring money to...

I am, once again, a BMW guy.

I have had several over the years including three 5 series cars and a giant mistake 2005 M3 with SMG.

I now have just acquired a pristine 2000 M Roadster.

Really great car, zippy fun, and don't see a ton of them, especially not in green, on the road.

Here's a photo. Put a couple hundred miles on her Saturday, just driving around getting used to her.

I'm quite happy to say I'm now a BMW owner myself!

Picked up a silver 2008 323i last Thursday. Absolutely love it!

Next step: Upgrade to an E90 M3 when I can afford it! :D

    Actually a bit TOO quiet.

When you're used to the thrash that you get from a Ferrari, it's tame. Someday I may look into aftermarket exhausts for it, but for now, I'm just gonna drive the snot out of it!

The M-Roadster has a dual exhaust outlet system if I am correct so on that note I would look into performance mufflers (single/straight inlet and outlet) and look for a shop that can 'Mandrel Bend' a cat-back to muffler setup. Not only will it sound good but you will have less restriction (I know you know this already) ie more hp's. Aswell you must open up the intake tract.

I love those cars so I am a tad envious.

I put a Stromung exhaust on my M3 a couple weeks ago and I love it! Very well made, quality piece with a fantastic sound, and very reasonably priced. And yes with the top down it's awesome. The M roadster is a bit different, but you should check out what's available. Really makes a difference.

Was your Stromung a direct "bolt-on" affair and what was the cost? My point being is that most people with alittle research/knowledge/connections can obtain an equal/just as good setup without the 50+% mark up in price just because of the name associated with said product.
