Heading up to the Glen Sunday. Looking at the entry list in GT and saw SNOW Racing, in a GT3 p-car?? Searched it and it's a MOM and her 16 YEAR OLD SON, out of Utah?? Anybody know anything about them ??

Yes they are both talented drivers. Madison is a good driver with a level head, especially for a 16 year old. I believe the father also has a racing background but doesn't race anymore. Thanks for the heads up about this weekend, I didn't realize they were racing at the Glen.

Thanks for the info. Might be a first- Mother and son co-drivers?? Leave it to NASCAR, I mean Grand AM. Wonder what Pruett, Haywood and the rest of the boys are thinking?? Off the record I mean. They do have a GREAT sticker on the back of that GT3 though, SNOW AHEAD. Should be crazy-always is in GT.

Madison is the current IMSA Challenge Gold Class Champion, and he has already won a race this year in the more competitive Platinum Class.
I raced both in IMSA and they are good drivers. Who is the Pro driver in their lineup?

I'll try and get his autograph. Maybe a future star. Should be good exposure for him-National TV and all. Lord knows, the US needs more young Sports Car drivers. Btw, I drive an RX8, so you can guess who I'll be pulling for :).

Tough break for Magnus and their fire. I don't even see the Snows on live timing, maybe they didn't make it into the race?

Do Ferrari 458's GT cars have a huge blind spot or something? Another seemingly avoidable collision...

Back from the Glen. First time there. WOW . Gonna make a vacation out of it next year. 6 hour race-perfect. You can take your time and see Everything. Spent a lot of the day hanging out behind the pits. Only 20 feet away from it all. Wandered all over the track, watched it from all angles. Tight racing, great weather, beautiful track=:D No, Snow racing didn't make it. Don't know why. Add this event to your "bucket list".

Here's my first few laps in the ESM 458 Italia during a practice session before the race -- fantastic piece of machinery!

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdRl_12XO5g[/ame]

Took awhile to get used to the rear view camera and paddle shifters... holding a button to get into neutral just seems unnatural. :)

Nice clip Mike. Congrats on the 4th place finish. Will we see you at Lime Rock for the finale in September? Nice car btw. First time I've seen it live.

Thanks! No plans to be at Lime Rock, but Johannes and I will be driving the ESM car at the Rolex Laguna Seca round in September (home race for both of us). I'm just trying to gain some experience to decide what to do for next year...

Mike, what color is your helmet? I am a photojournalist covering the series and got some great images of your car. I'de be glad to send you a couple nice ones but dont know which stints you were in the car. Pm me an email if you would like some bigger files to get a couple prints.
You guys did a great job and the car really is beautiful.
Have you driven the Gt-2 version of the 458? I would be very interested in seeing a side by side comparison in race trim, as well as what the unrestricted potential without series compensation.
Thanks. It's great to have guys like you and Jeff Segal, who also posts. Good luck. Next race I shoot, I'll make sure I come up and introduct myself.

    Stay safe.

    Hey Bob,

I had a plain black helmet. I'll send you a PM as you can never have to many racing pictures!! :D

Haven't had the chance to drive one of the GT2 458's yet, but would love to! My understanding is they're a little trickier to drive, more downforce and better braking. Straight line speeds are pretty close (a little more HP but more drag/downforce). The ESM GT2 cars also get to run Michelins which are very good.

As much as I'm flattered to be mentioned with Jeff, he's a much higher level driver. I just do it for fun and the challenge (but I do work hard at it!) and still have a lot to learn. :)
