Not at all. the Plastic is very thin, and painting it took lots of prep, and priming. I washed the parts several times yet still got oil separation in the paint! I had to go to old fashined enamal prime coat to get a good starting point.

the tires are TERRIBLE ... I tried Tamiya tires but the Heller Kit is just a bit out of scale compared to Tamiya, so they just did not look right. I did use tamiya fronts. I still need to stencil the good years and do tire set up writing... when i get to it.

Bought this new kit from "Classic Models", a new (?) company out of Mexico. I got like the 4th kit they made. Anyway, it is all resin, but with incredibly detailed parts.

It is a curbside model in 1/12 scale. Obviously more for the experienced kit builder since they didn't even bother throwing in an instruction sheet. :)

The same company now also offers the 95 Ferrari, which based on this kit, I will definitely have to get as well.

I think in the day and age of 3D laser scanning and 3D "printers" we're probably going to see more "homebrewed" kits coming out. Good for us modelers.

Looks like a pretty nice kit. Here is the latest book by Hiro and Joe Honda, F1 turbo 1977-1983 ref. #19.

This Airtrax casting looks nothing like their previous releases. It does look MUCH better.
I hate to say it, but I held off on getting several of their kits, even though I want the kit - the quality has been really poor for the asking price. Hopefully this is a turning point!

Saw this on AF. MSM creation MP4/12C GT3 Macau 1/24th decal/transkit. Studio 27 has a long list of decals now for the Fujimi kit also.

I used to use Stradasports all the time but Kevin has been getting a little slow. He has very good prices if you are willing to wait a few weeks.

1/24th APM Ferrari 458 GT "Race version" kit. I don't see any decals in the photo so it might just be new wheels and body modifications.

I dont know if its up your alley, but I have been getting my PE kits from Singapore andan Ebay seller China lately. Media Mix hobby in Singapore is great, they ship quickly and show stock on their site. There is an Ebay seller, same deal. Just bought an F40 etched set with resin calipers etc. and the shipping was $2.

I used to order from Strada a LOT, but the last couple orders have taken nearly two months to get. They dont give you any indication of whats actually in stock. I'd prefer to order from him, but I get my parts in hand from Asia before I get a response from Strada

thanks for the tip FE ...strada appears the cheapest thus far, but time delay of 2 months is a bit much ...what was the bay sellers I.D. that you dealt with? thanks

Studio 27 made a resin kit a while ago. Not very accurate, but as far as I know the only one in this scale. Btw, I might have some spare sets of photoetch for F50 and F40, and maybe Enzo 1/24 kits from Studio 27 - I need to dig through my "goodies box" which is the size of a small room :) but if you want me to I will this weekend.
