Hi, I just wanted to pop by and say hello. I've recently bought my first Ferrari (despite being a long term fan!) and have just got back from driving her to LeMans for the 24 hours. I have a 1992 F40 Adjust and am London based. I plan to get myself to a fair few events to let the car see the world and vice versa! anyway - Hi
Welcome, buddy! Might I highly suggest becoming a subscribed member. Lots of good social/business stuff up there in that section. Please post pics of your F40!!!!
Wow!! F-40 as FIRST FERRARI ... CRAP..... that's amazing... Welcome to the forum and do please post some pix when you get a chance. Sorta REQUIRED here!!!! Jedi
Jamie, welcome to FerrariChat! That's a hell of a first Ferrari - kinda like losing your virginity to Geena Davis. Can you tell us the serial number of your F40? And I'm sure I'm not the only one who's curious why you picked the F40 as your first Ferrari (then again, why not?!?). Do you have, or have you previously owned, other super cars (Countach, EB110, Slantnose, etc.)? Oh, yeah, I agree with everyone else - pictures are a must! We're also very fond of videos.
jamie, congratulations on your new purchase and welcome to the club! if you act quickly you can join me and a few others at the silverstone classic on july 21-22 for the f40 parade. if you need help figuring it out and getting tickets etc. pm me and i will steer you in the right direction.
I think the F40 is more worthy of a timeless comparison, as opposed to one of today's flavors of the month.
Great first car. Only problem is... THERE'S NO PICS!!!! if you have a great car (f40 qualifies as a great car) it's a requirement you post pics What's an f40 Adjust? Just a typo or something?
Well, wow and congratulations! All I can say is, that it probably goes downwards from where you are now Mister! Who has been able to keep track of how many magazines and journalist's who have celebrated the F40 as the BEST DRIVERS car EVER? That list certainly is not short... Means that it has adjustable suspension, I believe that with the racing windows (whatever they're called...) are the most sought-after F40's.
Hi All, Apologies for the delay .. life and all that Ok.. pictures.. bear in mind I picked her up the day before I went to LeMans (France). Those of you from PH will understand the Custard too Adjust means adjustable suspension, the whole car lifts up a an inch or so, allowing you to get over speedhumps, it also means the car sits alot lower at speed (the ecu automatically drops the car down as you increase speed allowing the best downforce and aero) Previously I've had a few 911's, Jap turbo cars and an awesome TVR which I heavily tweaked, this is my first SuperCar, as to why.. well I've always been one who does what the heart desires.. I was originally after an F50 (second dream car behind a McLaren F1) however I couldn't arrange one in time for LeMans so decided that the F40 would be an awesome toy, I can always get an F50 later As LeMans shows, I plan to put some miles on and truly enjoy the ownership experience, she's averaged around 800 miles a year since birth, I've put around that on already I'm trying to work my diary to get to Silverstone for the Parade so I may well drop you a PM ross, cheers for the offer! I'm an active member over on PH, however I'll be sure to keep my eye on here too.. Always happy to answer any questions! Cheers!
